Although we know next to nothing about Sephiroth's childhood, we know that he grew up under Shinra with [[MadScientist Hojo]] as a constant figure in his life and it seemed that Aerith's father, Gast, was the only positive influence in his young life. Knowing what a [[SarcasmMode wonderful human being]] Hojo is like and how [[EvilInc Shinra]] operates, it can a guarantee he was treated more like an experiment and tool by everyone with no real emotional connection. While his childhood wouldn't have been as brutal as the Tsviets and X-23's, it still would have have a lot of abusive qualities that would have mentally, socially, and emotionally stunted him as a person. The fact he was trained as a TykeBomb from an early age could also imply a lot of HarmfulToMinor elements like being forced to kill at an early age, going through excruciating experimentation, being denied anything that could perceived as making him too soft or coddle, and/or being expected to live up to high standards by his [[AbusiveParent father]] and the company that was raising him.

[[WMG: The Cetra and "Aktion Ahnenerbe"]]
The Nazi Organization "Ahnenerbe" under Herman Wirth (which were the inspirations behind the villains of Indiana Jones)searched for an ancient, advanced precursor civilisation which according to them, lived in close proximity to the north pole. In the game, Shinra searches and finds the Cetra, an advanced precursor civilisation, which lived in close proximity to the north pole. So, could it be, that the whole Cetra arc is an allusion to the Ahnenerbe?

And according to Wirth, this precursor civilisation worshipped an ancient "mother deity", while in the game, Sephiroth, who is a cloned Cetra, worships the Yenovah deity as his literal "mother".

* Maybe Sephiroth is Lucifer? Sephiroth is a one-wingedangel--a fallen angel, perhaps? Cloud came back to life, so maybe he's Jesus (or Lazarus). Plus Cloud does the baptizing, taking away the Geostigma, and Jesus is known for healing people.

** Genesis was [[EarlyBirdCameo introducted]] for CrisisCore. But since the Compilation ends at the 20th anniversary by WordOfGod, and there's a SequelHook, this is possible. Good news for the ones who like all the Compilation, bad news for the ones who didn't like it, or only liked CrisisCore. I don't know about Denzel, but it's possible.

In the case of Cloud, Sephiroth, and the rest of the First Class SOLDIERs, it can chalked up to being super soldiers but what about everyone else? How is someone as thin as Tifa or someone as heavy set as Barret able to pull off stunts like that? Here's my hypothesis: The Lifestream is the source of all life on The Planet and every being on The Planet has a miniature version of the Lifestream within them which is effectively their soul. Mako is Lifestream that has been condensed into a physical liquid form which is infused into those who would become SOLDIERs, effectively adding more Lifestream into their own and enhancing their abilities. We also know that everyone can use Limit Breaks, not just the player characters, as shown in the Limit Break tutorial where a little girl uses one to pummel her opponent in a sparring match. How does it all tie together? Whenever someone uses a Limit Break, it is literal, they glow as if the Lifestream in their bodies is growing and they grow more powerful, leveling up as it were. SOLDIERs are infused with Mako to artificially boost this process so that they can outrun and outgun any enemy they go up against. By the time of the movie, everyone is more or less level 100 so their Lifestream is at maximum capacity and thus are able to keep up with the likes of Cloud and Sephiroth. Even Reno and Rude have gone through this which explains why they're able to run up walls or survive having a metal highway sign fall on their heads. Or this is all plainly obvious and I'm so dense that I'm only just realizing it.
