** Actually can go deaper then this. the first time Buffy died she regenerated into Kendra and when Kendra died she regenerated into faith and so on all slayers are just regenerations of the same TimeLord.

* To add to the examples, maybe I'm looking for symbolism where there isn't any, but in "Doublemeat Palace" Manny the Manager had been there ten years and had obviously been there too long. The manager at the end seemed like she was still a reasonable person and in the end she indicated her badge and told Buffy that this was what she should aim for. She'd been there five years.

There are several indications for this. It is emphasized several times that the Earth was a world of demons for millions of years. Thus there is no time at which primeval animals could have existed. Also, in the comics, Angel finds a demon in Los Angels that looks like a T-Rex.

[[WMG: The Master couldn't open the Hellmouth in the Wishverse because of prophecy]]
The Master had planned to open the hellmouth. Given how powerful he became, he should have succeeded. However, the Master and Buffy fighting and her dying had been prophesised since long before Buffy came to Sunnydale (meaning long before Cordelia's wish came into play). If the prophecy was unavoidable for her, it would have been for him as well. Opening the hellmouth would have prevented the fight. In fact, there's a good chance that the pure demons would have just killed the Master. If anyone was going to survive once the hellmouth was open, it would be Buffy. So the prophecy would be invalidated if he opened the hellmouth before he killed her, meaning that until she came to Sunnydale whatever force ensures prophecies come true made sure he couldn't.

* In the Series/FantasyIsland episode "I Want to Get Married/The Jewel Thief" (written a couple of decades before BuffyTheVampireSlayer) Tattoo decided to go into the greeting card business. He wrote three unusual greeting cards.

Hence why every heterosexual female in the coffee shop, as well as the [[DeathOfTheAuthor bisexual female]]([[SuddenlySexuality s]]) and ''the explicitly'' (but [[DeathOfTheAuthor arguably]] [[KinseyScaleOfTropes not necessarily]]) ''lesbian female'' swoon over his voice, but the only other male present starts to [[BuffySpeak get the wiggins]].

The first is reasonably generic but could easily tie in with Joyce's divorce recently before the start of the series and the fact that the next time she got serious with someone he turned out to be an insane robot. The second one, more darkly, could quite clearly be linked with the fact that Joyce did die in her early 40s. For the third, alright technically the school blew up more then it burned down at graduation (it was the gym that burned down) but it's still a pretty big coincidence.

[[WMG:The adventures of Melaka Fray are in an alternate timeline.]]
At the time of Melaka Fray, magic has left Earth, as well as in the ninth season of the series. However, she has returned in the ninth season. By the absence of magic no vampires could be created, and the humans who were bitten were turned into a kind of zombies called [[http://buffy.wikia.com/wiki/Zompire zompires]]. When the magic returned, a new breed of [[http://buffy.wikia.com/wiki/New_vampire vampires]] emerged, which were much more powerful than the old breed. In the time of Melaka Fray, however, there are neither zompires nor the new vampires, but only the already known breed.
* In addition, the magic of Willow has ensured that there are many slayers around the world, but at the time of Melaka, she is the only slayer in the world.
* In the comics Melaka learns of a century-old witch named "Dark Willow". Maybe Willow has stayed nasty in Melaka's timeline, that never created the magic that created countless slayers, and the magic was not destroyed in the way it did in the ninth season, so no zompires or new vampires were created.

[[WMG:The prehistoric animals were actually demons.]]
There are several indications for this. It is emphasized several times that the Earth was a world of demons for millions of years. Thus there is no time at which primeval animals could have existed. Also, in the comics, Angel finds a demon in Los Angels that looks like a T-Rex.

* Most UK viewers aren't fooled by James Marsters' British accent, and they shouldn't be. Spike, who has travelled the world, hasn't lived in England for over a century. Arnold Schwarzenegger needs an accent coach to maintain his iconic Austrian accent, because living in California for most of his life would have decimated the accent. Spike is too proud to remove his accent, even though it now sounds a bit fake to British ears. He keeps it when losing his memory because his tongue retained its muscle memory. Notably, neither Angel nor Angelus keep up the fake accent charade, because they find the idea of clinging to an accent to be hokey. (David Boreanaz's accent as 18th-century Liam, however, was simply just a bad acting accent.)

** 1. Congratulations on your divorce. Next time look before you leap.
** 2. Condolences on your 40th birthday. Insurance paid up?
** 3. Dear graduate, congratulations on your graduation. Too bad they had to burn the school down.

* The basic plot has basically become a SuperRegistrationAct where vampires, Slayers, witches, the supernatural, they need to be monitored and watched by the government, after a horrific disaster breaks the masquerade. Buffy, Willow, Spike and the like are dead set against the idea. Dead set against Slayers working for the government trying to control the situation. Kennedy had been recruited. Kennedy is in favor of guns and military tactics that kind of automatically makes her evil. InUniverse Kennedy is considered TheScrappy of scrappies, to say nothing of what the fans think of her. And Kennedy has always had this...unfettered maybe attitude in that it doesn't matter what others think about the use of guns, doesn't matter that stopping Wolfram & Hart involves corporate terrorism. Outside of some new threat or that there is an evil left that had not been dealt with then Kennedy is a...hmmm, [[JustForPun potential]] antagonist. Well more antagonistic anyway.
