%%* AuthorityGrantsAsskicking: Meridian Princes Alf and Weiss, General Clyde, Turmelian Operative Leslie, and QED Commander Ignacy all have their share of command, as well as fighting prowess. Also First Sergeant L'Arc and Imaginal Diva Ryfia, to a lesser extent. [[spoiler:Not to mention Real Diva Adele and Patriarch Hosea, though the latter got his power via Imaginal]].

* DropTheHammer: Ryfia's Excel Act "Ryfia's Magic"; she conjures a ''huge'' hammer head [[HardLight out of light]] at the tip of her wand and smashes down.

* BonusBoss: A good chunk of areas have these. They are enemies significantly larger than the regular rank-and-file of their area; but they stand still (won't/can't chase you) and you will only beginning fighting them once you run into them intentionally. Distinguishable by how the "Unexpected Fight" (as opposed to the normal battle theme) plays upon fighting them, and unlike typical bosses, they can be fled from (and rematched later). These bosses won't reward you with any XP, but will give you awesome WP and Rico boosts.

Peek A Bangs is no longer a trope.

* HidingBehindYourBangs: Weiss is a borderline example, as a lock of hair usually hides his left iris - and as a result, his heterochromia.
