The game engine remained largely the same, though the tables now featured ramps and elevated playfields. As a result. the playfield action slightly slower and more stop-and-go compared to the original, but the individual games themselves felt more distinctive.

'''Super Pinball: Behind The Mask''' is a [[DigitalPinballTables pinball video game]] for the SuperNintendoEntertainmentSystem. It was developed by [=KAZe=] Co. Ltd. and released in 1994. The game consisted of three original tables:

* "Jolly Joker"
* "Blackbeard and Ironmen"
* "Wizard"

All of the games featured realistic physics and game action, eschewing VideoGame-only features in exchange for a sense of speed and flow comparable to that of RealLife [[PhysicalPinballTables pinball tables]]. Each game is presented as a pre-rendered playfield with superimposed sprites for targets and lights, giving smooth action at the cost of a single predefined camera position.

The layouts of the ''Super Pinball'' tables are respectably designed, though lacking more complex elements such as ramps or elevated playfields. As a result, they tend to feel similar to each other, with the main difference being the placement of the bumpers and lanes.

A sequel, '''Super Pinball II: The Amazing Odyssey,''' was released a year later for the SNES. Unlike the original, it was only available in Japan. Once more, it consisted of three original tables:

* "Space Sister"
* "The Spy Eyes"
* "Show Time"

The game engine remained largely the same, though the tables now featured ramps and elevated playfields. As a result. the playfield action slightly slower and more stop-and-go compared to the original, but the individual games themselves felt more distinctive.

The ''Super Pinball'' games demonstrate the following tropes:

* ActionGirl: The heroine of "Space Sister".
* ArmCannon: The Space Sister has one.
* BareYourMidriff: Seen on the "Space Sister" protagonist.
* CaptainColorbeard: Blackbeard, naturally.
* CoatHatMask: The jester featured on "Jolly Joker" has this ensemble.
* CaptainErsatz: "Space Sister" is a thinly-veiled copy of Samus Aran from ''Franchise/{{Metroid}}''.
* NonindicativeName: Despite the names, neither ''Super Pinball'' game has any overarching theme about masks or odysseys.
* NonIronicClown: The clown of "Show Time" is a textbook example.
* {{Pirate}}: The theme for "Blackbeard and Ironmen".
* SerialNumbersFiledOff: The playfield art for "The Spy Eyes" includes a copy-and-pasted image of Creator/SeanConnery as Franchise/JamesBond.
* ShesGotLegs: Many of the displays for "Space Sister" show off her long, bare legs.
* SpellingBonus: Every table has at least one, from J-O-K-E-R in "Jolly Joker", E-N-I-G-M-A on "Wizard",
* WizardClassic: Seen on the "Wizard" table.
