Added DiffLines:

* FishbowlHelmet: Mario and his party need a fishbowl helmet to be able to breathe in space. Yes, ''one''. Even though there's three characters in Mario's party (at the time), they apparently only need to breathe when they're the active character. It even changes size depending on who's wearing it.

* SequelDifficultyDrop: The first two games weren't that hard, but ''Super Paper Mario'' has a noticeable drop on difficulty compared to them. Since most enemies die in very few hits and you can easily bypass them thanks to the Flipping mechanic, but there are also several things that can make the game much easier than usual, such as controlling Bowser while using Carrie for a speed boost. The bosses also require less strategy than in the previous games, with many of them being merely using the GoombaStomp on them over and over.

** The very start of the game, you can refuse the Pure Heart that Merlon tries to give you by saying "No" three times (with Merlon getting increasingly desperate each time). After that, he'll wander off worrying, you get a text screen saying that the universe was destroyed, and it's Game Over.

Added DiffLines:

** Francis ends up likely being an unintentional one that crosses over with UnfortunateImplications. As a StrawFan, he is essentially a TakeThat aimed at hardcore "otaku" / "geeks" / "nerds"/ etc., including those that treat video games as SeriousBusiness. He eventually has to be fought as a boss which must be defeated (meaning that he must "lose" the battle). In other words, it's (unintentionally) implied that Francis is [[spoiler:a "loser", supposedly just like anyone who might treat video games (and maybe even anime and manga) a similar way, if not the same way he does.]]

** The recipe computers look like [[NintendoDS Nintendo DSs]], and the cards needed to expand their list of suggested recipes resemble DS game cards. One item in the ChainOfDeals is also apparently a DS.
