Since most enemies die in very few hits and you can easily bypass them thanks the Flipping mechanic, but there are also several things that can make the game much easier than usual, such as [[GameBreaker controlling Bowser while using Carrie]]. The bosses also require less strategy than in the previous games, with many of them being merely using the GoombaStomp on them over and over. [[HardLevelsEasyBosses Of course, while the enemies and bosses are relative pushovers, the stages themselves on the other hand can be a little tricky thanks to having bizarre level designs often and some complicated puzzles.]]

Many stages, on the other hand, can be surprisingly challenging in no small part thanks to how the levels are laid out, as well as some puzzles.
