* ConspicuousCG: Unlike the last game, the bosses in ''Legends'' uses 3D models, which can make them stand out against the normally 2D art style of the game.

* MickeyMousing: ''Legends'' uses this even more than its predecessor. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5QoFmYaQaQ This trailer]] demonstrates 2 stage playing along the beat of ''Black Betty'' by Ram Jam, and "Eye of the Tiger". In fact, the Musical-themed Stages you get after beating the bosses (''Castle Rock'' ''Orchestral Chaos'', ''Mariachi Madness'', ''Gloo Gloo'', ''Dragon Slayer'') [[spoiler:Along with ''Grannies World Tour'' and every song's 8-bit remix in the [[BrutalBonusLevel Secret World]],]] requires '''you''' to the Mickey Mousing.

The game was originally set to be released as a WiiU exclusive in February 2013, but a couple weeks before its release date Creator/{{Ubisoft}} announced that it would be delayed until September in order to have a simultaneous multiplatform launch on XBox360, {{Playstation 3}}, PSVita, and PC as well. As an apology, the WiiU got the game's Challenge Mode as a free download in April. Plus, the production team used the extra time to add a lot of additional content to the game, including dozens of new levels. The sequel retains the first game's gameplay, art style (though the characters have a more painted look to them), and 5-Player co-op (5 players on the WiiU version at least), but goes in a more fantasy-based direction, with worlds based off fairy tales and Myth/ClassicalMythology. The exceptions would be a Dia de los muertos-themed level and an underwater spy-themed level that also pays homage to JulesVerne.

* AdvertisedExtra: PlayedWith. "The Epic Trailer" hypes up Barbra's addition as a new character, but she's just one of ''several'' princesses that are all playable, ultimately making her addition more cosmetic in a sense (indeed, it's entirely possible to play through the game without using her). At the same time, however, rescuing the princesses is an intentional part of the game's design, and similar how rescuing the Nymphs [[VideoGame/RaymanOrigins in the previous game]] resulted in new abilities (but otherwise weren't playable), rescuing the princesses in ''Legends'' results in more characters to play as.

* NeverTrustATrailer: Yeah the game hypes up Barbra's addition as a new character...then you find out she's just one of ''several'' princesses that are all playable. Pretty shameful, Ubisoft.

* ArtificialBrilliance: When playing the Murphy levels alone, the computer player that you need to clear the way for is surprisingly smart. If waiting for the path to be cleared will waste time, it will rush in headlong, hoping the player does their part in time. If it won't waste time, it will stand patiently instead of getting itself killed needlessly. It doesn't dash, but this is likely to reward players playing co-op together.
