Added DiffLines:

* ArtificialStupidity: The bots are just like the ones in vanilla ''Videogame/Battlefield2'', unresponsive to player commands, thus it is not recommended to play ''Project Reality'' without player-controlled allies.

TRS wick cleaningRare Guns has been cut

* RareGuns: While the game only issues each faction their real-world issue weapons, some of them are practically never seen outside their own countries, such as the Chinese QBZ-95 rifle.

Not a very flattering trope

I was Special Forces player myself then. Man was I dumb, but apparently as I found later, I was not alone.

* AnonymousRinger: Averted with the Chechenya and Taliban factions. Certain patches have the Chechens become the "Militia", and several maps also showing the US and UK fighting them, so played straight.

* ElitesAreMoreGlamorous: Intentionally averted. No special forces units are present in the game, nor are there plans to introduce them.
** There is one map where the standard Bundeswehr gets replaced by Fallschirmjäger, who also have spawnpoints set in the air and come equipped with Parachutes. Otherwise, they behave the same when on the ground.

* ElitesAreMoreGlamorous: Intentionally averted. No special While Special Forces and even dedicated Sniper kits existed in earlier versions of the mod prior to 1.0 release, they were eventually excised due to player complaints over this trope being played to its [[TooDumbToLive expected outcome]]--with 'SF' players running off alone, without coordinating with the rest of the team, and generally their mere presence and mechanics not gelling with what is supposed to be a heavily teamwork focused on ''conventional'' military forces units are present in the game, nor anyway; thusly, there are there are no plans to introduce reintroduce them.

Now a Useful Note, which cannot be listed as a trope.

* TheWarOnTerror: The Afghanistan and Iraq levels, naturally. Arguably, some of the Russian levels as well.

* SteelEardrums: Averted. Standing too close to any loud noise, including gun shot, '''will''' cause your character to lose his hearing and have blurred vision. The length of this varies depending on the explosions intensity, maxing out at around 10 seconds with high explosives. Also happens when enemy fire barely misses you, regardless of the distance the shot was fired from. One of the more controversial aspects of the mod, as many players did not like going blind for 10 seconds whenever a bullet landed 10 feet away from them.
