* BananaPeel: One of the available items.

to:

* BananaPeel: One This item is used for strategy purposes in all sports. It will temporarily knock out anyone who steps on it. A side effect of this is the available items.loss of coins.

* ConvectionSchmonvection: In Bowser's Castle.

to:

* ConvectionSchmonvection: In No one has trouble playing in Bowser's Castle.Castle, which is located in a volcano.

* {{Crossover}}: With ''Franchise/FinalFantasy''

to:

* {{Crossover}}: With ''Franchise/FinalFantasy''Characters from ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'' and ''VideoGame/DragonQuest'' are available in the roster after you complete a sport. These include Black Mage, White Mage, Ninja, Moggle, Cactuar and Slime.

%%* FragileSpeedster: Toad, Diddy Kong, Bowser Junior, and Cactaur, who turns this trope UpToEleven.

to:

%%* * FragileSpeedster: Toad, Diddy Kong, Bowser Junior, Junior and Cactaur, who turns this trope UpToEleven.Cactuar have great speed but poor power. Cactuar in particular is ''ridiculously'' fast, with the drawback that he has a lot of inertia... which causes him trouble turning around and reaching one-step-away targets, ironically.

* GratuitousNinja: As a SecretCharacter.

to:

* GratuitousNinja: As The Ninja from ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'' is a SecretCharacter.SecretCharacter who can be unlocked for play.

* HarderThanHard: The Expert level on basketball is [[{{Understatement}} pretty insane]]. It's not just harder than the Hard level: it rockets the AI to an unbelievable state, usually bordering unfair play. They are ''always'' getting dribbling speed boosts even when you're not anywhere close to them, it's nearly impossible to steal the ball from them due to sheer dribbling spamming (which they seemingly can do faster than you, by the way), they take advantage of every one of your cooldowns if you KO them after attempting a dunk by having another teammate do the dunk or a lay-up instead, they block 95% of your shots, they can utterly block your way to the basket so they KO you and steal the ball, chaotic alley-oops where [=KOing=] one of the dunkers allows the other one to dunk instead are everywhere, they get the ball back 50% of the time immediately after you steal them even if you're closer to the ball than them, they can force you to steal four or five times in a row alternating the holder between all possible opponents, they will get up again and again when you KO them with a power character ace shot so you don't score... And this is just the tip of the iceberg. You'll need to pull out ''all'' your GameBreaker techniques and never ever let your guard down if you want to win.

* HartmanHips: White Mage sports a thin waist
and never ever let your guard down if you want wide hips. Expect to win.be DistractedByTheSexy when confronting her.

to:

* InconvenientlyPlacedConveyorBelt: Wario FactoryFactory.

%%* JackOfAllStats: Mario. As well as Luigi, Yoshi, and Ninja. The Mii as well.
%%* JungleJapes: DK Dock.

to:

%%* * JackOfAllStats: Mario. As well as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Ninja and Ninja. The Mii the Miis have an average skill on all stats, making them neither slow or fast, neither strong or weak, and so on. Mario gets the prize, though, as well.
%%*
all three stats for him are just in the middle of the skill gauge.
*
JungleJapes: DK Dock.Dock, a playable court, has a wooden platform in the middle of a jungle's river.

%%* MightyGlacier: Bowser, Donkey Kong, and Wario.

to:

%%* * MightyGlacier: Bowser, Donkey Kong, Wario and Wario.Slime are very slow, but have a great power to compensate. Expect their spikes in volleyball to be pretty fast, and in basketball they can dunk very quickly and make ace shots that will knock out whoever blocks them.

* MsFanservice: White Mage provides a significant amount of fanservice in the game, even more so than Peach and Daisy. She has a MiniDressOfPower that exposes pretty much the entirety of her [[ShesGotLegs thighs and legs]], and has a noticeably slimmer waist than the princesses [[HartmanHips without sacrificing hips width]]. Not to mention the sensual voice acting she got.

* PeekABangs: The White Mage has her right eye covered by pink hair. This increases her sex appeal.

* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: '''[[Franchise/FinalFantasy KUPO!]]'''

to:

* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: '''[[Franchise/FinalFantasy KUPO!]]'''Moogle, from ''Franchise/FinalFantasy''.

Added DiffLines:

* LimitBreak: All playable characters have a unique special ability that can only be used occasionally throughout the game. There's a gauge on screen that lets the player see how much is left until the character is ready, and it slowly fills every time the player makes a certain succesful action in each sport (for example, in volleyball it's when you make a stable receive).

Added DiffLines:

* SuperMovePortraitAttack: Every time a character uses their LimitBreak, the camera zooms in to show their determined, furious face. You know you're screwed when it's a character who has a particularly obnoxious limit.

'''''Mario Sports Mix''''' (2010) for the Wii is the SpiritualSuccessor to ''Mario Hoops 3-on-3.'' Like its predecessor, it was developed by SquareEnix, and features teams of up to three characters facing off in certain sports on fields with different gimmicks. It features three new sports and one sport returning from the aforementioned ''Mario Hoops 3-on-3'': volleyball, dodgeball, hockey, and basketball.
