* IntercontinuityCrossover: The last world Copper visits in LOL 3 is [[spoiler: that of CommandAndConquer (the Tiberian series), another game by Westwood.]]

** One dimension you visit in the third game is a post-apocalyptic wasteland where you eventually descend into an underground base and fight against security measures controlled by an AI. There are indications this actually takes place in the world of ''CommandAndConquer''.

* OutsideContextVillain: ** The second game introduces the Ruloi, who are by all indications extraterrestrial aliens. They even bear a clear resemblance to classical Grays. ** One dimension you visit in the third game is a post-apocalyptic wasteland where you eventually descend into an underground base and fight against security measures controlled by an AI. * DeadGuyOnDisplay: In the second game, the Draracle has the corpse of the god Belial (whom he himself executed) on display in his museum. The museum guide explains that the corpse is there "not as a trophy, but as a warning."

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Dawn, the mage that got trapped in a crystal ball within Castle Cimmeria, was originally meant to be playable from the point you rescue her. She's still in the code, just not implemented. ** In Lands of Lord III, most of the guilds and guild quests are unfinished. The thieves guild in particular, you simply show up, receive your pet, and then never need to go back. It is possible to glitch your way past a 'locked' door to find a fully functional target range, that was presumably to be used in your 'initiation' quest. Likewise, the mage guild final quest is immediately completed... upon entering an empty room. You were SUPPOSED to get a quest to rescue one of the wizards, who would be present in that room. Instead the programmers just got lazy.

* LargeHam: ''PatrickStewart'' -- yes, ''that'' Patrick Stewart -- as King Richard, and he does it very well. And the Draracle. The series had excellent voice acting for the most part.

* UnwinnableByDesign: In the final battle of ''Lands of Lore 1'', you're supposed to use the Ruby of Truth on Scotia when she's in the middle of shapeshifting into a stronger creature after taking enough damage. If you don't do this and just keep fighting her, she'll eventually transform into a creature that's flat-out invincible. At this point there's nothing you can do to harm her, and might as well reset from your last save.

* DifficultySpike: If Kikoskia's [[LetsPlay Let's Plays]] are any indication, the first game has ''lots'' of them. The Urbish Mines and floor three of the White Tower being the most prominent examples.
