* AKA47: Several The guns come off as this-the Drognav (Dragunov), Gotlung machinegun, this, coupled with clever wordplay:
** Kalt (a 1911) sounds like Colt,
** Tokmak combines Tokarev
and every pistol except Makarov, but is clearly shaped like the revolver.Bul Cherokee,
** The Sea Eagle is named after the Desert Eagle. Its model, the Jericho, is nicknamed the Baby Eagle.
** The game's only revolver is called Ritchie. Because is a Guy Ritchie film.
** The Belgo, a [=VBR PDW=], references the original machine pistol's Belgian origin.
** The Hockler ([=MP7=]) blended up Heckler & Kochs name.
** The Drognav parodies the Dragunov, despite being built like a [=DSR=].
** Likewise with the Barnett to the Barrett M82, but it's modelled after the Mauser [=SR=]-93.
** The Tampa expands on the Steyr [=TMP=]s name.
** The Galactic pays tribute to the Universal Submachine Gun, or the [=UMP=].
** The Kross is a Kriss Vector. Because "Pun crisscross".
** The Bulpdauns name is a play on its bullp[=UP=] form.
** The Euston (an [=AR=]-15) used the name of Eugene Stoner.
** The [=SIG=] lookalike [=AR=] is called Rhett. Try pronouncing it very fast: [=Sig-Ar-Rhett=]. Sigarrhett. Pun Cigarette!
** Gerund (a modified M14) sounds like Garand.
** The [=FRKN-3K=] is a [=FAMAS=] with a crazy name.
** The Mossington combines Mossberg and Remington, but is shaped like a Benelli.
** If you're too legit to call the automatic shotgun anything other than an M1216, then Stop! Hjammerdaim.
** The Lobster (a [GL-06]) lobs grenades.
** The [=EZ=]-Nade easily achieves GrenadeSpam.
** The Maximus plays on the name Minimi (M249).
** The Chinzor is built like the Chain[=SAW=], but its name makes no sense otherwise.
** And of course, the Gotlung machine gun.

Added DiffLines:

** GodzillaThreshold: In the resistance canon ending, this is crossed;[[spoiler: Sure, people beyond the Ark may well be hostile savages, but the sad fact of the matter is that the Ark is dying; the arkoral has gone sterile and the Ark is slowly crumbling out from beneath them, and the Guest slums are not so slowly rusting away. Ironically, Chen and the resistance don't know that they're crossing this line because they don't know about the hostiles in the outside world, and more so, the resistance members themselves don't know that the line needs to be crossed as Chen hasn't told anyone - Founder or Guest - about the problem with the arkoral.]]

Added DiffLines:

* PoorCommunicationKills: Chen [[spoiler: refuses to tell the Founders Council that the arkoral is going sterile and dying and that the Ark is literally crumbling beneath them, all because he fears he'll be used as TheScapegoat and nothing will change. Had he shared this information, the Founders may well have been motivated into action and decided to risk contacting the outside world.]]

Poor AI, bad coding and gameplay elements combined to kill the title on initial reviews and early after release with the end result being a critical and commercial failure that didn't last for very long as a viable multiplayer game, with a competitive scene that was dead on arrival.

* CharacterCustomization: Provides a slight subversion to the above trope. You'll also be able to tweak your character, not just his class, any time you want. Options include different tops, bottoms, face and head gear for the two factions, but you can also change core features like your face and body type. This is because your body type is actually a gameplay thing- TheBigGuy can use big guns and take a lot of hits, but the FragileSpeedster has the most freedom of movement and LeParkour ability. There is of course, a middleweight type if you prefer a balanced approach.

* GameBreaker: One of the main points of contention early in the game's life was the first part of the map Container City. Perhaps due to a lack of testing, there was a chokepoint that was almost literally impossible for the Security to break out of if the Resistance players were even halfway competent. This easily defensible spot was also nearly adjacent to the Security's spawn point, making it a serious problem for the latter team. As time progressed, players began to find strategies to offset this imbalance.
