OneStatToRuleThemAll: Vitality. While all the stats have their use based on character builds, Vitality is necessary for all of them since, in addition to increasing defense, it also increases the amount of HP gained per level, and (this is NOT applied retroactively). As such it is best to put in as many points as possible into this stat, while leaving some for other stats.

** Most of alchemy, considering the game doesn't have a bestiary to show which items the enemies drops.

** Downplayed in the first generation. Dyshana is a distant mom who main purpose is to help guiding the group to defeat the forces of darkness but Leo is the one who make the decisions. Vira-Lorr has a seductress and make a lot of snark comments, but she doesn't flirt with Leo and is only here to overcome her boredom. Ellis although definitely qualify as the child.

** Played with it in with the fourth generation heroines. Hilda and Silvi have the seductress outfit but are the mother and the child respectively. The former for being a wise pirate, [[AFatherToHisMen a mother to her men]] and the latter for joining the group just to fulfill her dream to travel around the world, abandoning her homeland. * BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:All past generation heroes and heroines in the true ending route after beating Summerill.]]

* BrutalBonusLevel: The boundary plane in the true ending route.

** Leo in the first generation. He have pretty good stats and in the last party of generation (or early if you grind enough) he gets the Energy skill, one of the best of the game, which gives extra AP for everyone in his extended area.

** The Ice Rod. You can get it pretty early and is easy to alchemy. The only downside is having three water slots which is useless in the beginning of the game, but in other hand it has pretty good magical stats and is a perfect weapon to give to Ellis, Vira-Lorr or other mage.

* EpisodeZeroTheBeginning

to:

* EpisodeZeroTheBeginningEndgamePlus: Only available in the true ending route. After beating Summerill you unlock the access to the boundary plane and the fight against the TrueFinalBoss. And there are more things to do after beating him.

Added DiffLines:

* FinalBossNewDimension: More like TrueFinalBoss, New Dimension. The fight against [[spoiler:Chaos]] happens in the boundary plane.

The True Ending is ''really'' easy to miss since you have to keep track of where the KarmaMeter is at and making sure you don't grind too much since a high "turn count" (battles fought) ''will'' lock you out of getting it.it. It requires the player to be the player's morality to be in "Neutral" and have defeated the FinalBoss (actually a DiscOneFinalBoss) before the turn counter reaches 500.
** The CG collection is another thing, specially, how to get the [[OnceASeason generation exclusive]] [[HotSpringsEpisode Hot Springs CG]]. These require you to have a certain amount of [[RelationshipValues affinity with one or more of the possible wives]] and have reached a certain point of the game before reaching a certain amount of turns, often with a certain alignment on the KarmaMeter (The Hot Springs CG always require to have max affinity with all possible wives). However, all these certain values are hidden from the player.

* AbsurdlyHighLevelCap: The level cap and the stats cap is 999. For comparison, the last boss of fifth generation ([[spoiler:which can be the final boss if you failed to get the true ending]]) is below 100.

* ACupAngst: Special mention goes to Lizerotte for this one. If all of your companions were busty...

* ACupAngst: Special mention goes to Lizerotte for this one. If all of your companions were busty...Some heroines are not happy with their boob size. Notable examples are Fyuria and Plum.

** Leo in the first generation. He have pretty good stats and in the last party of generation (or early if you grind enough) he gets the Energy skill, one of the best of the game, which gives extra AP for everyone in his extended area.
** Ellis and Borgnine. The former is a pretty strong mage and has a very useful level 1 extra skill which hits hard and have decent range. The latter is a strong tank which can take a lot of psychical hits and can hit hard. Both are pretty good party member for almost all generations and are decent enough for post-game too.

* LastRequest: This is a recurring theme after the defeat of a "anti-villain" character:
** After getting defeated by Leo, Kasibal ask to him to save Gridamas since he was unable to do because he is a soldier and his duty is to follow order without thinking about it.
** Midas in the third generation. He says to Alberti to take care of her daughter.
** Keith in the fourth generation. He say to Silvi to lie to him but she denies the request. Keith understand her reasons to deny it although.

* SeriousBusiness: Winfield (and later Thoma) takes peeking girls at hot spring too seriously, to the point he thinks it's worth dying for. This is lampshaded in the last generation hot springs where all male party members completely understand Winfield has to do it.

* ThirdEye

to:

* ThirdEyeThirdEye: Vira-Lorr has one. This is a characteristic of her race.

* {{Tsundere}}: A male example is Duran, so very much so. Watching him get flustered is half the fun. And one of his potential love interests Ryuryu is a mix of this, kuudere, and EmotionlessGirl, making for some rather interesting cutscenes (read: adorable)
** The "{{Canon}}" route (if you based it on the opening, the portraits of the trophy list, and the image of the page itself) has the following route: Fyuria, Valeria, Lavinia, and Hilda. One thing in common? They're all [[{{Tsundere}} tsunderes]].
* UnwantedHarem: Played with near the end, basically there are more female than male party members and as such it comes to this. Especially in the last generation with Rex who is basically Leonhardt 2.0 with ''ALL'' the girls who the others before him never married or fought alongside.

* GodIsEvil: The Six Gods of Darkness. While some are "not that evil", they want the dark forces to be dominant.

* GuestStarPartyMember: Kasibal during the first fights of first generation.

* ItsPersonalWithTheDragon: Played with it. In the first generation, Melchior taunts Leo for a one-to-one fight and you have the option to accept it (although the choice doesn't matter since it's a duel boss with the King). In the fourth generation, Duran wanted to face [[spoiler:Vashtor]] but he flees to another continent after his plain fails.
