Hello, goons. Ask away!

Should be [=KennyMan666=], without the spaces, but this wiki software is balls.

26-year-old troper who hails from the frigid northlands, [[KingdomOfLoathing because one troper always hails from the frigid northlands.]] Half Kenny, half Man, half 666.

Writer and general website manager of Fanfic/NextEra, which can be found [[http://next-era.net/main/ here]].

Has a very sporadically active blog about {{shmups}}, called [[http://joc.karlstrom.se/ Just One Credit]].

Pages created:
* Fanfic/NextEra
** [[Characters/NextEra Character sheet]]
* [[{{Superhjaltejul}} Superhjältejul]]
* TheRedStar
* UmiharaKawase
* DarkSavior
* [[GwangeDash [=GwangeDash=]]]

Things I enjoy:

* BulletHell
* The [[{{DonPachi}} [=DonPachi=]]] series, [=DoDonPachi=] in particular
* DonRosa, especially TheLifeAndTimesOfScroogeMcDuck. The "Yukon trilogy" - Chapters 8A/8B/8C - I find to be pretty much the finest comics ever made, and the final page of ''Hearts of the Yukon'' is my single favourite comic page of all time.
* KaraokeBox, kind of. We're this geek association that has meetings every tuesday, and one of the things we do is sing karaoke. It's not a true karaoke box, but it's as close as you get. And I did visit two actual boxes when I was in Japanland.
* KingdomOfLoathing
* LegendOfGalacticHeroes
* LylatWars
* {{Metroidvania}}
* {{Mushihime-sama}}
* MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic
* OnePiece
* StarWars
* TheBeatles
* {{VideoGame/Touhou}}
* {{Ufouria}}
* More things to be added whenever I come up with them.

Tropes that apply:

* BadassLongcoat: Two of them. The first being explicitly an [[OsuTatakaeOuendan Ouendan]] longcoat (made by my mother, no less), originally worn when cosplaying Doumeki Kai in a [[http://konventsbilder.se/image/show/1824 group cosplay]]. [[AndZoidberg Ignore the guy in orange.]] The second one being more suited for use when it's cold outside, and higher quality in general.
* CrowningMomentOfAwesome by way of CrowningMusicOfAwesome: Judging by the reaction to it, the song ''Farväl Konvent'' (''Farewell Convention''), Swedish lyrics to the song ''Yasashii Uta'' by J-Rock band [=MUCC=] about that another con has passed and we'll meet again another time, sung at the closing of Animecka-con, was this. We got the grandest round of applause on the con, and one of the grandest rounds of applause I've heard at ''any'' con. Which is extra impressive, considering it was a small con, and the audience can't have been over fifty people. I think even fifty is pushing it.
** Also also, any time me and a friend of mine sings ''[[AnnieGetYourGun Anything You Can Do]]'' in front of a crowd. A crowning moment within the crowning moment is that she can reliably hold the tone for seventeen seconds (look it up).
* DeadpanSnarker: I try.
* [[DarthWiki.DethroningMomentOfSuck Dethroning Moment Of Suck]]: While it WAS only indirect - all I had done was invite the girl and her then-fiancé to my birthday party, which meant she met my brother - me having a hand in breaking up an engaged couple was not exactly one of my proudest moments. They didn't last, either, which made it into an even larger [[DarthWiki.WallBanger Wall Banger]] for me. I quickly decided to stay the hell out of the whole thing after I realized what had happened.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: Going by [[http://armchair_academic.homestead.com/PersonalityComp.html this]], I'm the Melancholic (almost everything listed there is ''spot on''), and there's a clear Phlegmatic (who also fits Supine in the five temperament version). The Choleric says she only ''seems'' to be that way, which is good enough for me to label her one. And finally, the Sanguine has all of the positive traits listed... but the negative ones apply to ''me'' instead of her. I can't win.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: I can be a bit obnoxious sometimes. I know this and should try to not be. In the meantime, it comes off more like this at times. I have one friend in particular that I constantly make fun of, and if I get the slightest opportunity to riff on him, I take it. However, I make it no secret that I see him as one of my closest friends, and I've repeatedly told him that if he ever wants to talk, I'll listen. Specifically, one time when I saw him being depressed, I told him that I wouldn't ask, but if he wanted to get it off his chest, I'd listen. I managed to get him to be apathic rather than depressed... so I literally pulled him down to the basement where the karaoke was set up.
* LyricalShoehorn: I write Swedish lyrics to songs, mostly for tracks that are originally Japanese, which are either just translations or parody lyrics. I find myself having to resort to this a lot for both kinds.
* OnlySaneMan: "I'm surrounded by morons!" is something I find myself saying all to often.
* {{Speedrun}}: I'm a speedrunner. {{Ufouria}} and {{Umihara Kawase}} are my primary running games, and is also running obscure Japanese doujin DuoPrincess. And lately, [[VideoGame/ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld Scott Pilgrim vs. The World]] and BionicCommando (Rearmed and 2009).
* TheFaceless: I turned into this on my online Japanese lectures, as I have no webcam for my desktop and doing it on the netbook (with built-in camera) made a lot of text too small to read. Thus, I did it via the desktop, and the others could hear me perfectly but obviously couldn't see me. The next semester I got into the class with actual lectures in classrooms, thus ending this trope for me. Happened again in another online class.
* ThemeNaming: I like doing this, especially when it comes to electronic equipment. As such, my desktop is named [[LegendOfGalacticHeroes Iserlohn, with the HDDs/partitions Yang Wenli, Reinhard von Lohengramm and Oskar von Reuenthal]]. My laptop is named Chaos which doesn't tie into anything, but the hard drive is partitioned into [[Fanfic/NextEra 666 and Shiva]]. My USB sticks are named after {{True Final Boss}}es in {{Cave}} games, specifically [[DoDonPachi Hibachi]] and [[{{Ketsui}} Evaccania DOOM]] (shortened to Evac DOOM because the full thing wouldn't fit). And while my handhelds aren't named as such, they still follow a theme via the keyrings that have been put on them: small [[TonariNoTotoro Totoro]] on the cell phone, middle Totoro on the Nintendo DS and big Totoro on the PSP. Did this for the partitions on our karaoke laptop, too - named the two partitions on the HDD [[LuckyStar Tsukasa and Kagami, and our USB stick Yutaka]].
* TheLancer: I'm never the [[TheHero successful guy]]. Also plays this entirely straight in the FiveManBand known as Studio Daikon, actively being a contrast to TheHero guy.
* TheSmartGuy, too: For the FiveManBand making up the [[http://next-era.net/ website]] crew.
* SunglassesAtNight: My eyes have grown accustomed to fairly low light, so I often wear sunglasses when normal people wouldn't need them. Has done it literally at least once.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: While I might not quite have the physique to pull off a straight example, on a convention I was to in early 2011, I went for the extra manly outfit of an unbuttoned [[BadassLongcoat gakuran]], {{sarashi}}, black pants, getas and a white headband with karaoke written in katakana on it. And of course, no shirt.
* YouMakeMeSic: My brother is the cause of it. My brother is seven years older than me.

From square one, creativity has always been a primary thing. This led to creations, most of them from early school time, most of them done in school together with friends. The... well... "notable" ones were the Alien Saga (following the three friends [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Brother Square, Brother Triangle and Brother Round]] on their... "adventures" in space) and the Piranha Saga (following two Piranha friends on their... adventures underwater). Sagas not related, they were illustrated stories. Then there was what for a lack of better title shall be known as the K Saga, as both main characters in that held the initials K.K. It was planned to be large but never got anywhere. A started project, with large plans but that never really led anywhere was a magazine. Only a few pages were created.

Then there were all the imaginary video games he created in pictures and text, including:
* ''{{Quake}} [[strike:II]] X''
** ''Quake X: [[UltraSuperDeathGoreFestChainsawer3000 Ultra Death]]''
* Several ''MegaMan'' games:
** ''64''
** ''Pocket'' and ''Pocket 2''
** ''Mega Man & Proto Man'', which got five games. Two players. Except the fifth that was four players.
** ''Proto Man'', a {{Metroidvania}}. Never really got anywhere.
* ''[[{{Contra}} Probotectors 64]]''
* ''StarControl 4''
* ''[[DesertStrike Strike 64]]''

Samples of a few of the above creations, with commentary, can be found [[http://thedailypos.org/forum/index.php?topic=9761.0 here]] and [[http://thedailypos.org/forum/index.php?topic=9812.0 here]].

Additionally, there was ''[[SoBadItsHorrible Behemoth III]]''...

Tropes that apply to works of Kenny's past:

* AbortedArc: The final pages ever produced for the Alien Saga seemed to be introducing a new plot, but the story was never finished and thus it never became known what the [[StarControl Melnorme]] had to do with the Mycon.
* ArtShift: The K Saga was drawn by two people. ''It showed.''
* {{BFG}}: In ''Quake X''. Called "The Absolute Murder Weapon". Required three different kinds of ammo to fire. A design that makes no sense. Definitely made things die.
* CoolShip: The towering (literally TOWERING) spaceship of the main characters in the Alien Saga was a sight to behold. Probably equipped with antigravity engines, as it had no thrusters or anything else at all.
* CosmicRetcon: The ending of ''Mega Man & Proto Man V'' was this, reverting back to even before the first game, but with all characters present, and Light and Wily being friends. It was pretty terribly executed and written like a train wreck.
* DidNotDoTheResearch: ''EGADS''. For starters, Shub Niggurath is not a person. Shaped. Thing.
* GameBreaker: Zap Cold in ''Mega Man 64'', which was a freezing effect, worked on almost any enemy, several bosses were affected and it was possible to switch weapons with the effect active.
* HijackedByGanon: In ''Mega Man Pocket 2'', the villain was supposedly a Dr. Khan. Guess how that turned out.
** ''Mega Man & Proto Man'' did it, too. In the second game, it was "Skull Master". In the fourth game, Wily actually ''died'' in the opening cutscene, but still managed to pull it off - his ''brain'' was the final boss. This was due to aliens. The fifth game was, [[GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere out of nowhere]], hijacked by ''[[MegaManX Sigma]]''.
* HilariousInHindsight: Some robot masters went on to become real. ''Mega Man Pocket'' had Oil Man, but this one was spitting oil and lighting it on fire. ''Pocket 2'' had Sword Man, and ''64'' had Shark Man. Even better, Roll becoming a playable character in MegaManPoweredUp, being a close combat character to boot!
* JumpedTheShark: If it didn't happen before, then the final ''Mega Man & Proto Man'' game ''definitely'' did this, by introducing Roll and ''King'' as playable characters, as well as ''Sigma'' as the BigBad.
** The Alien Saga most likely jumped the shark when the first of the two other main characters was introduced. His name does not translate well, but he was a diamond shape. And if not then, then the moment was with no doubt when the second extra character, shaped like (and implied to ''be'') a cloud, was introduced.
* LostForever: Sadly, none of the Sagas remain these days. The Alien and Piranha Sagas being most likely lost to history is extra sad, as those were the good ones.
* MagicAIsMagicA: When aforementioned CoolShip had been drawn, we realized a scale problem - the ladder and door to the ship was MUCH smaller than the characters. The solution? From the ship's chimney (yes, it has one), a stream of yellow asterisks rained down on the characters, shrinking them so they could enter (and presumably enlarging them when they got out). Later, these same asterisks were used by a hotel on a different planet (and it was never stated that they originated from the planet the story started on), which was similarily too small.
* NamesTheSame: Both the Alien and Piranha Saga were joint efforts, made by Kenny and one other person. Both of them were named Markus.
* OldShame: Oh god, ''Behemoth III''. Kenny's first dive into fanfiction. Terrible, ''terrible'' Star Wars fic. Never released anywhere.
* RecurringBoss: No fewer than four different versions of a creature called "Ga Don" appeared in Dr. Wily's Castle in ''Mega Man Pocket''. They were, however, meant to be four different creatures.
* RetCon: In the original run of the Alien Saga, two more characters were introduced to the main trio of friends. The final chapter of that run, essentially a bonus chapter, involved one of them going to his home planet and one of the original characters also moving there. When Kenny revived the Alien Saga on his own later, the two extra characters were [[RetGone nowhere to be seen]], and no mention was made of them or the planet move. Due to the original story not having any timeline or backstory, for that matter, it IS possible that the revival was a prequel, but...
** Also, the imaginary ''Quake II'' becoming ''Quake X'' when the real Quake 2 was released. And ''Ultra Death'' being retooled into an add-on/mod for Quake X rather than its own game.
* ShoutOut: Even back then, Kenny was a huge StarControl fanboy. The final pages made of the Alien Saga namedropped and pictured several Star Control aliens, with some deviation from canon, but the Piranha Saga in particular was MADE of it. The two piranhas were even named Zoqfot and Pik, and what became the main antagonist was a giant octopus named Kohr-Ah. One page seemed to exist for no other reason, it was filled with Star Control aliens reimagined in fish form. Yes, there was a Chmrr fish with three smaller fish circling it.
* StarfishAliens: The three Aliens were literally a red square, a blue triangle and a yellow circle. With faces, arms and legs. When the StarControl aliens started appearing, most of them were also talking StarfishLanguage. Interestingly, the species created in the image of another didn't speak the same language as their creators.
* TearJerker: Bass' death scene when playing as Mega Man in ''Mega Man & Proto Man 2'' was sort of touching.
* ThrowItIn: Brother Round ended up having hands that looked more like wings, due to it happening by mistake in the first drawing of the characters. We decided to keep it, as it looked pretty good. A later introduced character got the same kind of hands.
* ThoseWackyNazis: ''Mega Man 64'' had, of course, eight new robot masters. One of them was ''Nazi Man'', who threw swastika shuriken. Perhaps also qualifies as StupidJetpackHitler.
* WantonCrueltyToTheCommonComma: The CONGRATULATIONS messages supposed to come after episodes in ''Quake X'' needs to be seen to be believed. It approaches the levels of HalfLifeFullLifeConsequences at times. This has a lot to with that it's essentially a BlindIdiotTranslation from Swedish to English. A snippet from the endgame text:
--> ''Then you killed the Minotaur have you walk through 8 episodes of Quake to find the seven runes of earth magic.''
** Also, the episode five ending text is bad even by THESE standards:
--> ''You take Ultra Grenaders life and rune then the big tank was exploded. You grip the fifth rune. 2 runes each... then game Quake!''

Kenny is now considering reviving and retooling the Alien and Piranha Sagas as hand-drawn webcomic-like things, with deliberately semi-shitty art (alright, alright, it's because Kenny can't draw by hand for shit). It would follow the same format as it did in the past, with pages where the top half consisted of a picture and the lower half of a few lines of text. The K Saga, however, is best left dead.

It would probably also be done in Swedish, due to tradition, but a translation could be provided...

--> ''Then you killed the Minotaur have you walk through 8 episodes of Quake
sure to find and watch the seven runes of earth magic.''

** Also, reactions to my Swedish adaptation of ''[[AxisPowersHetalia Marukaite Chikyuu]]'' have nudged it in this direction too - people who aren't me have joked that it's Sweden's new national anthem.
*** Also also, any time me and a friend of mine sings ''[[AnnieGetYourGun Anything You Can Do]]'' in front of a crowd. A crowning moment within the crowning moment is that she can reliably hold the tone for seventeen seconds (look it up).

* [[YouKeepUsingThatWord I Keep Using That Word]]: Very mild case here, since I only do it when talking to myself, but I use the word "cycle" for two different things and neither of them is correct use of the word.
* JerkAss: I seem like a nice guy until you get to know me.
** JerkWithAHeartOfGold: I have one friend in particular that I constantly make fun of, and if I get the slightest opportunity to riff on him, I take it.

JerkWithAHeartOfGold: I can be a bit obnoxious sometimes. I know this and should try to not be. In the meantime, it comes off more like this at times. Happened again on another online class.

* ShoutOut: Even back then, Kenny was a huge StarControl fanboy. The final pages made of the Alien Saga namedropped and pictures several Star Control aliens, with some deviation from canon, but the Piranha Saga in particular was MADE of it.
