* HeyItsThatVoice: Gildersleeve's nephew Leroy was voiced by Walter Tetley, who is probably best-known to animation buffs as Sherman from "[[WesternAnimation/RockyAndBullwinkle Peabody's Improbable History]]".
** Floyd Munson was voiced by Arthur Q. Bryan, otherwise known as [[Characters/LooneyTunes Elmer Fudd]]. (Bryan also effectively replaced Harold Peary on ''Gildersleeve'''s parent show, ''FibberMcGeeAndMolly'', as Fibber's new [[VitriolicBestBuds Vitriolic Best Bud]] Doc Gamble).
** Birdie was voiced by Lillian Randolph, who was also known as Madame Queen on ''Amos 'n' Andy'' and Mammy Two-Shoes in the ''WesternAnimation/TomAndJerry'' shorts.

** Willard Waterman replaced Harold Peary as the voice of Gildersleeve in 1950 when Peary left to work for CBS (but to his chagrin, was not allowed to take the Gildersleeve character with him). The two voices sound so much alike that the only obvious difference is that Waterman never did Gildersleeve's trademark laugh (although this was done more out of respect for Peary rather than Waterman not being able to).
*** Meanwhile, Peary's eponymous show for CBS had him playing a character (called "Honest Harold") who was a very obvious Gildersleeve {{Expy}}. So obvious, in fact, that the show was critically panned and didn't make it beyond one season.
