* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The last 11 episodes were completely unavailable on DVD for many years, but they were finally released exclusively through the Disney Movie Club in June of 2013, and through stores a couple of years later. This also makes ''WesternAnimation/TaleSpin'' the first of WesternAnimation/TheDisneyAfternoon shows to completely avert this trope.

* TheOtherDarrin: Kit was voiced by two actors--first Alan Roberts, then R.J. Williams. "A Bad Reflection on You" uses both Roberts and Williams; it's difficult to tell them apart, but you can do it if you're familiar with the subtle differences in their voices and you listen carefully.

* RemakeCameo: In the Mexican Spanish dub, Rebecca Cunningham is voiced by Diana Santos, who curiously voiced Mowgli in the dub of ''Disney/TheJungleBook''.

* RoleReprisal: Averted in the case of Baloo. Phil Harris was ''supposed'' to voice the character again, but was ultimately replaced (see TheOtherMarty).
** In the Mexican Spanish dub, the late Carlos Petrel, who voiced Shere Khan in ''Disney/TheJungleBook'', reprised that role in this show.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: The Sea Duck was originally intended as a vehicle for [[WesternAnimation/DuckTales1987 Launchpad]] [[WesternAnimation/DarkwingDuck [=McQuack=]]] for his own cargo service in an unused story idea for ''WesternAnimation/DuckTales''.

*** Kit was originally supposed to be Rebecca's son, looking for a father figure and finding one in Baloo. This actually makes sense and explains why Kit does bear a certain resemblance to Rebecca.

** Some people who worked on the show, however feel Phil Harris still sounded young enough to voice Baloo, and the real reason he was passed over was because he would have been too expensive to pay every episode.

(His performance in ''WesternAnimation/RockADoodle'' the same year as the show's second season demonstrates how flexible his voice still was)
