** Junior repeatedly refers to Yang as "blondie". Barbara Dunkelman's screen name within the Rooster Teeth community (as well as her Twitter handle, Xbox Gamertag, etc) is [=BlawnDee=].

** According to Shane's letter, Volume 3 would have had:
*** Raven was supposed to fight Team JNPR suddenly in a cafe, her reasons unknown.
*** Winter Schnee was supposedly designed with Monty's wife in mind for both design and voice.
*** Yang vs. Adam was supposed to happen in Volume 3 and not be the life-altering CurbStompBattle it ended up being.
*** Pyrrha vs. Cinder would have ended with [[spoiler:Jaune entering the battle and, because of his inexperience, cause Pyrrha to die, turning Pyrrha's death into a StuffedInTheFridge moment and making it Jaune's ILetGwenStacyDie moment instead of Ruby's TraumaticSuperpowerAwakening moment.]]

* CreatorBacklash: Shane Newville, a lead animator on the show and a very close friend of Monty, left the company under mysterious circumstances. In an open letter to the community, he revealed that yes, he was indeed unceremoniously fired, and he was ''not'' happy about it. [[RuleOfCatiousEditingJudgement Without going into too much detail]], he recalled multiple times he, Monty, and Sheena (Monty's wife) had been apparently screwed over by execs, mocked the hiring of professional voice actors, and revealed that he, Monty, Sheena, and several other animator had considered leaving the company and bringing RWBY back to its original vision (implying that Monty was unsatisfied with the final product.) Sheena and several other people involved with RWBY publicly supported him and the community [[BrokenBase split in half]]. Whether or not Shane's account is credible is hotly debated.

* CreatorBreakdown: Shane Newville, one of the original mo-cap works and the voice of Russel Thrush, wrote a ''35-page diatribe'' essentially accusing Rooster Teeth of trying to ruin Monty's vision of ''RWBY'' by not working the way he felt was right. This included accusations of tossing Monty's widow to the curb, not working the way Monty would have and ignoring story ideas and fight scenes Shane had worked out on prior to Monty's death. It reads like Monty's death and Shane's divorce hurt him and the changes to ''RWBY'' broke him.
