* PopCultureUrbanLegends: Due to popping up in some promotional VHS tapes, "The Great Car Race" short was long thought to be part of a full series ''The Further Adventures of Noddy'', with the rest of the show [[Missing Episode lost to time]]. As it turned out, this was only half true. According to an interview with a Filmfair animator, "The Great Car Race" ''was'' the pilot of a planned series, but lack of funding meant no other episodes were made.

* InspirationForTheWork: The idea for the Noddy series originated when Blyton used to holiday virtually every summer at the village of Studland in Dorset (which [=ToyTown=] was designed after) sometime in the 1930s and 1940s. The first had the {{Non Singing Voice}}s for Johnny Crawfish (Percy Travis III) and Gertie Gator (Paula Chavis) with Dennis Scott and a costumed Noddy character (whose voice was provided by Cindy Bandes Furman, also the singing voice of Island Princess), while the second show, performed at the 2000 Canadian National Exhibition, just featured an unknown female presenter and a Noddy costume character (still voiced by Furman) doing the songs.
** ''Make Way For Noddy'' got one in 2005 that also toured Brazil and France, getting a soundtrack album in the latter country.
** In France, ''Noddy In Toyland'' gained two French exclusive shows but used Sly and Gobbo's previous designs instead of their redesign for the 2009 incarnation. The first was "Oui-Oui El Le Cadeau Surprise" ("Noddy And The Surprise Gift") which honored the franchise' 60th anniversary which ran from 2009 till 2011. The second was "Oui-Oui Et Le Grand Carnaval" ("Noddy And The Big Carnaval" )which ran from 2012 till 2013. The French live shows is notable for having some of the French voice actors (such as Noddy's french voice actress Brigitte Lecordier) reprising their roles. Both shows gained exclusive albums and released in DVD format.
** ''Noddy, Toyland Detective'' was represented in the show ''Milkshake Live! The Magic Storybook''.

It wasn't until 2021 when the voice actors would finally get identified (Kathryn Beaumont as Noddy and the other characters, while Bernard Cribbins voices Big Ears and Mr. Plod).

* RecycledPremise: The ''Make Way For Noddy'' episode "Noddy's Family Tree" is almost an exact copy of ''WesternAnimation/TheTiggerMovie'' (ie. Noddy realises he doesn't have a family, takes the term "family tree" too literally, gets lost trying to find his, and realises his friends are his "family" after they come to save him.)

** Bernard Cribbins provided voices for both the 1963 animated short and also narrated the Filmfair pilot "The Great Car Race". However the only character he voices in both cartoons is Big Ears (though his performances are different in both).
* SameLanguageDub: Typical of US/UK televised children shows, ''Make Way For Noddy'' has two distinct voice actor sets- one for the UK and one for the US. The US version was voiced by [=VAs=] from Creator/TheOceanGroup. The UK version used BBC talents. There was also the dub for Toyland Adventures that was produced in Canada made specifically for ''The Noddy Shop'', but the segments did get released by themselves on VHS.
* SequelGap: Season Four of ''Toyland Adventures'' aired in 2000, six years after Season Three.

** Blyton was planning on making a new Noddy book called ''Noddy Goes to The Moon'' ([[{{Novelization}} possibly based the episode]] ''Noddy And The Moon'' from ''The Adventures Of Noddy''). However, the story was never published or possibly never written for unknown reasons. The last page of the book ''Noddy and the Aeroplane'' carried a notice saying "LOOK FOR THE NEXT NODDY BOOK'' despite being the final entry of the series during her lifetime. This could be due to Blyton's declining health starting in 1957, and showing signs of dementia in 1960 which worsened as the decade went on.
