* ReferencedBy ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'': In a send-up of beauty pageants like Miss Universe, one of the contestants, played by Creator/HeidiGardner, mentions ''Nip/Tuck'' Season 1 Episode 4 as her favorite television episode, and gives a little summary of the plot. This was the January 21, 2023 episode with Creator/AubreyPlaza as host.

* CastIncest: Early in the show's run, onscreen mother and son Joely Richardson (Julia) and John Hensley (Matt) were dating in real life (regardless of their 12-year age difference).

Sure enough, in the episode the procedure ultimately fails as the recipient's body rejects the transplant. The world's first successful full face transplant was accomplished in 2010 in Spain.
