** The original pitch was an adaptation of ''Rex Havoc and the Asskickers of the Fantastic'', an obscure satirical comic from Warren Publishing (the same folks behind ComicBook/{{Vampirella}}). The monsters were mostly established by this point, although B.O.B. was called The Ick! and Ginormica was referred to as the 50,000 Pound Woman.
** The monsters would have been imprisoned in Alcatraz at the end of the second act. One draft had the monsters going on the rampage after [[spoiler:Derek breaks up with Susan]], while another had the President make them take the fall for the destruction of San Francisco.

* InvisibleAdvertising: The TV show suffered this. When it finally started airing, Nick didn't really bother to promote it much. The fact it only played on Sundays likewise hurt its ratings.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: For what it's worth, the TV show did receive two DVD releases. However, while one of the [=DVDs=] was a collection of the first 8 episodes, the other was simply a random collection of episodes. So far, the show hasn't received a legitimate release collecting all the episodes.
* TheOtherDarrin: Pretty much the entire cast was replaced in the TV series on {{Nickelodeon}}, with how close they sound varying greatly.
