Old Shame is In-Universe only

** The creators of this show thought that their take on ComicBook/VandalSavage was terribly underwhelming.
** More generally, [[WordOfGod Marc Guggenheim]] even acknowledged in [[http://ew.com/tv/2018/04/13/legends-of-tomorrow-season-4-spoilers/ an interview with EW's "Superhero Inside"]] that aired following the season 3 finale that the first season had problems, and that the goal when developing the last two seasons was specifically to avoid these problems.

** Creator/DominicPurcell and Creator/CaityLotz have also had less-than-kind words about the first season in their Instagram posts.

Misplaced, moving to the correct tab

* IKnewIt:
** Sara comes BackFromTheDead via Lazarus Pit. Some people also predicted her new alias being "White Canary".
** Others also guessed ComicBook/VandalSavage would be the BigBad from the plot synopsis alone, given he's the most apparent [[CompleteImmortality "immortal threat"]] in the DC Universe.
** With all the references to shrinking and nanotech in ''Series/{{Arrow}}'' and ''Series/TheFlash2014'', it was only a matter of time until Ray Palmer's ATOM suit finally gets shrinking powers.
** Many people called it that Chronos was indeed Future!Heatwave
** The Time Masters being Savage's cronies shocked absolutely nobody.
** Many had guessed the Leonard Snart that would join the Legion of Doom is a younger version back from his villainous days.
** Although it was mostly a joke, many were right on the mark when they said Beebo would be significant in the fight against Mallus. In "The Good, The Bad, and the Cuddly", the Totems of Zambezi are used to create a gigantic Beebo who [[KillTheGod kills Mallus]]. Beebo went from being a MemeticBadass to a literal badass.

* AccidentalDownerEnding: The series ended with the team captured by time police. It was supposed to be an end of season cliffhanger, but Creator/TheCW unexpectedly cancelled the show. [[AbortedArc And it didn't get resolved in the show it spun off from,]] ''Series/TheFlash2014'', either.

* ScrewedByTheNetwork: Or, more accurately, the network's new owners. Following the merger of Warner Bros. and Discovery, two Arrowverse shows were stated to not be making the cut. Despite being one of the most popular of the bunch, Legends found itself cancelled out of the blue along with ''Series/{{Batwoman}}''. Apparently, some bean-counter decided it was costing WB too much to store the ''Legends'' sets. (This turned out to be an early warning sign of the rather-unpopular [[TyrantTakestheHelm reign of David Zaslav as WB's owner]], which has seen several other projects been cancelled or scrapped for financial reasons.)

** Hank Heywood was initially going to be the BigBad of Season 4, revealed to be a MadScientist putting all the creatures the Legends brought back through horrific experiments, complete with Nate making a FaceHeelTurn. Then everyone found Tom Wilson so inherently likable that they decided this could never be believable (a bit odd, seeing as [[Film/BackToTheFuture his most famous role]] is a villain), so the story was tweaked to make him Neron's patsy.

Names The Same is no longer a trope

* NamesTheSame: Esperanza Cruz, introduced in Season 6, shares the same first name as Esperanza Garcia, Allegra's cousin known as Ultraviolet on ''[[Series/TheFlash2014 The Flash]]''. Downplayed, because the Esperanza on ''Legends'' usually goes by the nickname Spooner.

* FanNickname:
** The team had been referred to as "The Legends" or "Team Legends" even before they were called that InUniverse, and then it became [[AscendedFanon their official name]].
** Fans have referred to the future Oliver Queen of 2046 as "Old Man Oliver".
*** The BadFuture of "Star City 2046" is also referred to often as [[WesternAnimation/BatmanBeyond Green Arrow Beyond]], due to the same basic idea (a distant future hero passes their mantle on to a younger successor).
** Carter was nicknamed "[[StalkerWithACrush Stalkman]]" due to his relentless hitting on Kendra.[[note]] Ironically, he actually addressed it in his debut, saying him going after Kendra is NotWhatItLooksLike.[[/note]]
** Some fans endearingly refer to the Legends as "the worst time travelers ever" for their consistent ability to screw up time travel in ways no one else could even imagine.
** After Rip referred to the Legends as a chainsaw to the Time Bureau's scalpel ("sometimes you need a chainsaw"), fans started affectionately referring to the Legends as "Team Chainsaw."
** Sara and Ava are sometimes called "time wives."
