** Creator/PatrickStewart was considered for the role of Goliath, Macbeth and King Arthur.Arthur. However, Stewart's agent commanded a high salary. Greg Weisman and his crew thought of asking Creator/JonathanFrakes and Marina Sirtis to pressure Stewart's agent into lowering it down. Ultimately, they decided not to because they realized it would have been unfair to both Frakes and Stirtis.

* DeletedScene: In the first run of the series, [[spoiler:Goliath was fighting Jon wearing a PowerArmor. At some point, the former pinned the latter on the floor and savagely pound on his helm. Seeing that his hits weren't getting through, Goliath started ripping the armor when Elisa and Jason entered the scene. In later broadcasts and in the DVD release, the pounding sequence was cut.

** Greg Weisman as been pretty vocal that he has no plans to push for a DVD release. [[https://twitter.com/greg_weisman/status/498606185566588928]], [[https://twitter.com/greg_weisman/status/552687210676248576]].

* TheMerch: [[http://gargwiki.net/Lex%27s_Helicopter Lex's Helicopter]] was created with the intention of being made for toys. Kenner, the company that made Gargoyles' toy line, declined to make a toy based on it, but did create one called the Night Striker which is very similar to it.

* HeyItsThatVoice: The amount of people who only hear KeithDavid as Goliath (when they don't hear him as Dr. Facilier from ''Disney/ThePrincessAndTheFrog'') is impressive. Even more impressive is the sheer number of Franchise/StarTrek actors who turn up on the show - [[Creator/JonathanFrakes Riker]]=Xanatos, Troi=Demona, [[Creator/MichaelDorn Worf]]=Coldstone and Taurus, [[Creator/BrentSpiner Data]]=Puck, [[NichelleNichols Uhura]]=Diane Maza, and Janeway=Titania. [[LongList And that's not taking into account]] such examples as [[Film/TheLordOfTheRings John Rhys-Davies]] as Theatre/{{Macbeth}} or Creator/TimCurry as Doctor Sevarius. Basically, if you start thinking "Hey, is that...?" then chances are yes, yes it is. Then again, in Brazil, Xanatos is Picard.
** Though some fans will recognize David as Big Tim the pimp from Literature/RequiemForADream.
** It was sometimes joked in fandom at the time that the casting director had set up a booth outside the [[Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration Next Generation]] wrap party.
** Unfortunately Sisko (Nokkar) and [[Creator/LeVarBurton Geordi]] (Anansi) were hidden under heavy modulation. The latter was also a very recognizable extra in the same episode, though.
** Creator/JeffBennett (Brooklyn, Owen, Magus, and many others) and KathSoucie (Princess Katharine, Maggie The Cat, The Weird Sisters, and many others) deserve special mentions here due to the fact that they did roughly around 100+ characters each.
** Film/{{B|ackToTheFuture}}iff! You cleaned up your act and became a good cop! ...And dyed your hair red!
** For a more extensive listing, [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Gargoyles_cast_members here's a list]] courtesy of TheOtherWiki.
** A funny non-English example in the RetroactiveRecognition area. If you watch ''PansLabyrinth'' and then listen to the European Spanish dub of the series, you'll recognize Pablo Adán, the Faun's voice, as Goliath.
** In Brazil and Germany, Brooklyn is WesternAnimation/{{Pinky|AndTheBrain}}.
** Oh wow, is that [[WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries Alfred Pennyworth]] as Mace Malone I hear?
** The Archmage becomes a much more intimidating villain when you realize that he's [[BaldursGate Jon Irenicus]].
*** And [[WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries Ra's al Ghul]]. In fact, David Warner's incredibly sinister voice acting was what got the character promoted from a minor one-shot flashback villain to BigBad of an epic three-parter.
** [[Creator/BillFagerbakke Broadway]] is [[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants Patrick Star]], [[WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated Bulkhead]], and [[Series/{{Coach}} Dauber]].
** [[Creator/RachelTicotin Captain Chavez]] is [[Film/TotalRecall1990 Melina]] and [[Film/ConAir Guard Sally Bishop]].
** Raven (Laurence Bain) was [[WesternAnimation/XMen Cable, Erik the Red, and Captain America]].
** Elisa is [[Series/{{Eureka}} Dr. Allison Blake]].

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: While Season One and the first half of Season Two were released on DVD, the rest of the series remains in limbo thanks to poor sales. Disney went a step further, censoring episodes for violence, usage of guns, and in one case, a [[GettingCrapPastTheRadar comment]] from Fang that was too racy (the "kinky" comment mentioned above). Some of the uncut episodes haven't been seen since 1997, although there is a [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRmVeZYXNr8 video]] that has most of the major edits.
** The second half of season 2 is now on dvd ... exclusively to members of Disney's Movie Club.
*** Season 2, Part 2 is now in retail release. At the moment it's a Wal-Mart exclusive, but it'll become widely available on January 13th, 2015.
