* HeyItsThatVoice:
** The Mind creators often do guest appearances in each other's series, like when the Felix's Mind creator did the voice of "douchebag" in the Barney's Mind finale or when the Shephard's Mind creator did the voice of Griffin in two episodes of [[RedFaction Parker's Mind]].
** In one ''Meeting Of The Minds'' Krismin asked if Ross would be willing to include his line from episode 10 of Shephard's Mind: "Get back here you big orange FUCK!" where Shephard comes across Gordon running into a teleporter.
*** {{Jossed}}: The above quote doesn't make it into the Freeman's Mind episode.
*** Not jossed. It was put in, it just became so unintelligible that it sounded like "BACKRUBS!", probably because of how loud the noise in the room was. It could be assumed that BACKRUBS! lines up with the line from Shephard's Mind (e.g. -back [BACK] here you- [RUBS]. OR -orange fuck! [BACKRUBS!]).

** ''Then'' he managed to get picked up by Website/ThatGuyWithTheGlasses, known for ''not'' screwing over their contributors at every opportunity, and allowing regular updates... and ''then'' he accidentally dumped water into his computer. Oy...

Added DiffLines:

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Ross originally considered switching over to ''VideoGame/BlackMesa'' after getting knocked out by the guards. However, by the time he reached that point in Freeman's Mind, ''Black Mesa'' still hadn't been released. In hindsight, it's probably for the best, as most of the comedy of ''Freeman's Mind'' stemmed from the aspects of ''VideoGame/HalfLife'' that didn't make sense in the real world, something that the ''Black Mesa'' team did their best to fix.

* MythologyGag: Freeman attempted to "Listen to" what one of the Houndeye enemies had to say thinking it was an ambassador, this may be a reference to beta Half-life when Houndeyes were originally neutral or even friendly, players shot them regardless.

* CreatorBacklash: Sort of. Ross Scott prefers to work on ''CivilProtection'', but difficulty in coding caused him to concentrate more on the easier to make ''Freeman's Mind''.
