** Mordred's gender in ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' was never explicitly stated, but most fans assumed that Mordred would be male like in the original Arthurian legend. At first Nasu seemed to have decided that Mordred ''would'' be male, but apparently having two male characters look feminine, the other being Astolfo, was too much. In this series, Mordred was ultimately revealed to be female.

* PromotedFanboy: In the interview with him about participating in the anime on its official site, Creator/MakotoFurukawa mentions that he's been a fan of the Fate series since he was in college.

*** In regards to ''WebComic/OnePunchMan'', Creator/SaoriHayami also played a [[YouGottaHaveBlueHair green-haired]] ActionGirl with relation to Furukawa's character (though this time it's reversed: in OPM it was Fubuki who tried to get acquainted with Saitama, whereas ''Apocrypha'' has Achilles trying to woo Atalanta instead).

*** A more 'neutral' nickname for Sieg would be "Sumanai Jr.", carrying over from Siegfried being called Sumanai in ''VideoGame/FateGrandOrder'' and Sieg being able to take Siegfried's form and overall felt like his junior.
** Achilles, Karna and Atalanta have been dubbed "The AKA Team" by some fans for being {{Ensemble Darkhorse}}s on the villain's side. Also doubling as PunnyName too, since [[FunWithAcronyms 'Aka']] is 'Red' in Japanese and they're in the Red Faction...
** As a tribute to [[LightNovel/FateZero Kayneth "Fast Wheels" El-Melloi]], Fiore got the nickname [[AllLovingHero "Happy Wheels"]].

The Indonesian/Malaysian audience even has the specific variation "Wasabi Sakti" ("Magical Wasabi"), which fits well with just [[FantasticNuke how magically destructive the NP is.]])

*** Creator/AiNonaka provides voice to Berserker of Black and the young [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Medea]] who appears in Atalanta's flashback at the beginning of the 18th episode (character whom Nonaka voiced in Videogame/FateGrandOrder).

** Mordred was originally voiced by Creator/HoukoKuwashima and Creator/JulieAnnTaylor in the Deen Fate/ Stay Night anime, here she is voiced by Creator/MiyukiSawashiro and Creator/EricaLindbeck in the respective Japanese and English dubs.
** For her cameos in episodes 6 and 23, in the dub, Artoria is played not by Creator/KariWahlgren (who played her in everything from ''Zero'' onward) but by Creator/MichelleRuff (who played her in the 2010 ''Unlimited Blade Works'' movie). This is mainly because the English dub for Fate/Apocrypha wasn't union contracted as opposed to the other Fate English dubs such as VisualNovel/FateStayNight and VideoGame/FateGrandOrder where both were union contracted.
** The Latin American Spanish dub has a meta-cast shift, as unlike the [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight very original series]], which was dubbed in Venezuela, and ''Literature/FateZero'', [[NoDubForYou which wasn't dubbed in Spanish]], this one was dubbed in Mexico instead.
