* UncreditedRole: Creator/JossWhedon directed the post-credits scene uncredited.

* CreatorChosenCasting: Creator/TheRussoBrothers cast Creator/RobertRedford in part as an {{homage}} to his roles in 1970s thrillers and for what the directors described as "an acting legend playing a villainous role" akin to Creator/HenryFonda in ''Film/OnceUponATimeInTheWest''.

* SeriesContinuityError: After Fury's car is rammed by the fake cop cars, his car's AI indicates that he broke his right forearm. Every action he takes after that, movement and efforts at healing, indicates that his uper left arm was broken instead.

* PropRecycling: When The Winter Soldier blows up the Camaro Natasha's hiding behind, it appears to be a Bumblebee stunt car painted dark blue. While the front resembles a 2013 Camaro [=ZL1=], so did the ''Film/TransformersRevengeOfTheFallen'' Camaro. If the scene is watched in slow motion, a cross-hatch grille can be seen in the debris from the explosion, something a 2013 [=ZL1=] didn't have, but the ''Transformers'' car did. It's also unlikely Chevrolet would have blown up a $50,000 muscle car for one scene.

* DoingItForTheArt:
** Besides playing [[spoiler:a villain]], Creator/RobertRedford reportedly wanted to experience the new style of film-making that utilised high technology to bring its characters to life.
** During the highway battle between the Winter Soldier and Cap, the villain does a knife flip to try and catch Steve by surprise. Reportedly, during all the days before the scene was shot, Creator/SebastianStan was seen flipping a toy knife until he could perform the action effortlessly.
