* InvisibleAdvertising: The final two episodes of season seven, "Preboot" and "Reboot", were not promoted at all, and were aired in a bad time slot, causing the episodes to be the least-watched episodes of the series! Also, the episodes were scheduled to air at 8:30 p.m., but a few hours before they scheduled to air, they were moved to 8 p.m.!
** The entire show is getting hit with this as of late. It never airs unless there's new episodes, and even then, the new episodes are barely promoted, or not promoted at all! (See the example above.)
** Starting with season eight, the series is only advertised through Cartoon Network's/Adventure Time's Twitter and Facebook pages, and by the staff of the show on Twitter.

** The screwing intensified in mid-late 2016. In September, it was announced the series would end after its ninth season in 2018. Then, the Finn & Jake balloon did not show up in the line-up for the 2016 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, meaning it was retired, and the two-part seventh season finale aired in other countries before the United States, and was suddently rescheduled right before its US airing. The [[InvisibleAdvertising]] for Season 8, and complete lack of reruns (aside from the "Stakes" miniseries airing on the weekend before Halloween due to being thematically appropriate) makes it very clear that Cartoon Network is working as hard as it can to snuff out what was once its flagship series.

** "Hot Diggity Doom": The King of Ooo, a popular but obviously unprepared greedy con artist with amazing hair, expensive taste, and dubious personal style uses populist rhetoric to get elected over his highly qualified if not exactly squeaky clean female opponent who is so shocked at being beaten she goes into isolation for months. Later on he uses his power to enrich himself and his friends and punish his enemies but becomes overwhelmed by responsibilities and starts lashing out.

** It was lessened somewhat when the series was renewed for an unprecedented ninth season in July 2016.
** The screwing intensified in mid-late 2016. In September, it was announced the series would end after its ninth season in 2018 (whether or not the series is being ended by the staff, or Cartoon Network straight-up cancelled the series due to its age or family-unfriendly content is unknown). Then, the Finn & Jake balloon did not show up in the line-up for the 2016 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, meaning it was retired, and the two-part seventh season finale aired in other countries before the United States, meaning spoilers began propegating on the internet.
