* Meta-example: ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsGaiden Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Masou Kishin III - Pride of Justice]]'' [[FranchiseKiller tanked horribly in the market]], developer Winkysoft decided to pull off the GrandFinale of the ''Masou Kishin'' saga with ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsGaiden Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Masou Kishin F - Coffin of the End]]''. Cut to a year later and Winkysoft declared bankruptcy, making the latter a literal "final nail" and the company's swan song. The sub-series might not be as beloved as other continuities in the franchise, especially when ''Coffin of the End'' was a slight improvement over ''Pride of Justice'' ([[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot except the story]] and [[DecoyProtagonist other elements]]), but the silver lining is that, according to Creator/HikaruMidorikawa (who voices the series' protagonist), Winkysoft finally wrapped up the decades-long plot at the end; even if they or the higher-ups decided to pull the plug, they're pulling out without regrets. Furthermore, even if the ''Masou Kishin'' arc ended, it doesn't bar Masaki to re-enter the OG-verse, as seen in ''Moon Dwellers''.
* Another meta-example: the sudden passing of Creator/YukoMizutani (voice actor for [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsCompact2 Excellen Browning]]) was so abrupt and unexpected that current [=SRW=] series producer Takenobu Terada would take time to offer his condolences on Banpresto's [[http://blog.spalog.jp/?eid=863695 official blog]]; furthermore, Creator/ToshiyukiMorikawa (voice actor of [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsCompact2 Kyosuke Nanbu]]) also voiced his feelings and thoughts on his [[http://ameblo.jp/toshiyukimorikawa/entry-12162040027.html blog]] to share his experiences working with her, and his opening line or tweets about it? [[HeroicBSOD He just couldn't believe what transpired]]. Though they may have provided the voices for the {{Love Interest}}s, you can tell by his words he and Yuko had a great time playing their respective characters. Furthermore, with these news, anytime you hear Excellen's flirty and teasing voice... [[FunnyAneurysmMoment you get reminded that these would be the last time you hear from her.]]
