* Trusty's [[spoiler: DisneyDeath]]. Jock whimpering, then when he nudges Trusty and there's no response.

** During the scenes in the pound, we see a dog being led off to another room, where it's heavily implied the dog was put to sleep. They never outright say it, but Lady turns to the other dogs and says "You...you mean he's...?"
* Trusty's [[spoiler: DisneyDeath]]. Jock whimpering, then when he nudges Trusty and there's no response. response, he looks up at the sky and lets out a mournful howl.
** It would've been even worse had the filmmakers gone with the original plan to [[spoiler:kill him off for real.]] Fortunately, they decided against it.

* Lady's sad and confused reaction after Darling ''hit'' her. It wasn't anywhere close to animal abuse, but you can't help but feel pity for the poor girl.

** There's Lady's reaction to Jim Dear calling her "that dog". Jock and Trusty couldn't believe it when she told them about it, and she said that he'd never called her that before.

* Trusty's [[spoiler: DisneyDeath]]. Jock whimpering, then when he nudges Trusty and there's no response. That sad, mournful, cry he makes is ''awful''!
* Lady's TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to Tramp is ''very'' heartbreaking. Yeah, it doubles as a CrowningMomentOfAwesome, but you can hear the sadness in her voice when she does chew him out.
** Makes it doubly more saddening when Tramp leaves (because an angry Lady tells him to) and you can see from his expression that he really fell in love with her.

* When this troper saw the dogs howling during the dog pound sequence, this troper saw many saddened dogs. I know the main four were just trying to distract the dog pound carriers, but the looks on those sad faces, especially the puppies in their pound cages. It...it was just so sad.

!!First Film

!!Second Film
* Scamp and Tramp's argument. A rather realistic insight on how a parent and a child with different views can turn into a heated debate.
* Angel revealing to Scamp [[spoiler: that she has been in five families.]] What makes this depressing is because of how numb her voice is.
* Lady's terrified expression on seeing and thinking that [[AdultFear her son had drowned]]. Thankfully, it turned out to be just a wig. But her expression and line ''"Oh, please"'' was just excruciating.

!!First Film

* The "No Place Like Home" sequence, done in dog howls. A bit mitigated by the fact that the dogs were doing that howling as cover for the escape tunnel being dug and is almost done.
* [[spoiler: Trusty's DisneyDeath. Although he actually survives]] it's pretty heartbreaking seeing Jock howling in sorrow
