* During an episode of Series/SleepyHollow, Orlando Jones (Lt. Irving) tweeted "Once again, the sidekick saves the day." Anyone who's read Alessandra Stanley's piece in The New York Times about Creator/ShondaRhimes prior to the launch of Series/HowToGetAwayWithMurder - which resulted in an avalanche of InternetBackdraft, partly because of the article's UnfortunateImplications and partly because of Stanley's inaccuracies (not the first time she was accused of being crap at her job... or the last), including describing Abbie Mills as Ichabod's sidekick when she is very much his equal - will know exactly what he was getting at.

No one was too upset when she was finally put on other duties.

* Creator/ArielWinter:
--> "Many have asked about my opinion on a certain interview," Winter's message, which was typed up on her cell phone, began. "All I'm going to say is this: If you take a photo in which you feel CONFIDENT about yourself and think it spreads a positive image, then GO FOR IT. The 'background' doesn't matter -- what matters is the message you are putting out there is true to what YOU believe in -- not what anyone else says about YOU,I do what I can to create that positive light for my fans and I'm sure other celebrities are doing it in THEIR OWN WAY -- no need to put one another down." "No picture is the exception to someone else's rule," she concluded the post. "Even if some people 'know who you are.' Live life on your own terms." (Shade duly to thrown Creator/ChloeGraceMoretz following her complants about Creator/KimKardashian. Creator/BellaThorne also had Kim's back).
--> And while her Instagram message to her sister "[=#HappyMothersDay=] to this insanely beautiful woman inside and out, my sister, my best friend, I love you so much. You are the most amazing mother I've ever known and we are all so grateful for you! Although I'm now 18 and mommy role is over, I will always have a special place in my heart for those years you raised me as your own." Heartwarming for sure, but also a fuckton of shade thereby given to Ariel's biological mother Chrisoula Workman.

** EddieMurphy referenced this incident in Delirious. This also took place in Constituion Hall. He mentioned the incident, then mentioned the fact that he, a black man, was now doing stand up comedy there.

* In his response to the October 2 2105 shooting at Umpqua Community College, President Barack Obama responded to critics claims that he would politicize the shooting to call more tighter gun control laws. He remarked "Conservatives and the pro-gun lobby will probably criticize me, and say I will politicize this shooting. Well this is something that should be politicized!"

* On 20 March 1920i.e. during theWar for Independence. Also, it was his birthday Tomás Mac Curtain, the Lord Mayor of Cork, was murdered in front of his wife and son by a group of men with blackened faces. Since he was an ardent Sinn Féiner, there wasn't much mystery as to generally who shot him. The inquest coming back with a verdict of willful murder against members of the RIC was expected. The TakeThat came when that verdict was also applied to David Lloyd George, the Prime Minister. His Majesty's Government was not amused and responded by ignoring the verdicts and promptly banned inquests.

* The US Declaration of Independence. At first glance it appears to be directed at King George III for abusing his power. It's actually a very long list of complaints directed squarely at Parliament, one of which is letting the King abuse his power.
