* Throughout ''WesternAnimation/AllHailKingJulien'' there are hints that King Julien and his bodyguard Clover could be an item. She gets extremely upset when Julien starts dating her twin sister Crimson, but adamantly denies it's because she's jealous. Most subtly, both characters [[HatesBeingTouched don't like it when characters randomly touch them]], but are generally fine if it's each other doing the touching.

* ''WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug'' might as well be the one to top them all. The main premise of two superheroes who are in love with each others' alter egos is a breeding ground for this.

* In ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeague'' Bruce Timm admitted to doing this with Franchise/{{Batman}} and Franchise/WonderWoman after shippers misintepreted a gesture of thanks as flirting in "The Brave and the Bold". ** The episode "[[Recap/GravityFallsS2E10NorthwestMansionMystery Northwest Mansion Mystery]]" was full of Dipper/Pacifica (known as Dipcifica/Padippica by the fandom) teases. Let's see, there's Pacifica [[AccidentalHug hugging]] Dipper then getting embarrassed and trying to bribe him to forget about it, Dipper walking into a column due to trying to act suave in front of her, and of course the tender moment the two share when Dipper tells Pacifica YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre. Not to mention that in the video game "[[VideoGame/GravityFallsLegendOfTheGnomeGemulets Legend of the Gnome Gemulets]]", when Mabel mentions it, they seem to inconspicuously [[ShesNotMyGirlfriend deny it ever happened]], although Mabel [[ShipperOnDeck seems to think otherwise]]. If THAT weren't enough the [[{{Defictionilization}} published journal]] shows that Dipper admitted he thought she was becoming a decent person, thought she looked nice in a dress, and thought she smelled nice.

* It didn't take long (read: several months ''before the show even premiered'') for fans of ''WesternAnimation/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil'' to ship the main characters, Star Butterfly and Marco, even though they start out interested in other characters (Marco in skater-girl Jackie-Lynn Thomas, Star in DreadfulMusician Oskar Greason).
** "Starco" got a little more support in the episode "Mewberty", when the eponymous condition makes Star go boy-crazy, and she comes to the realization "Marco's a boy..."
** It got even more support in "Blood Moon Ball", where Marco and Star dance beneath the light of the eponymous Blood Moon, which is supposed to bind the destinies of two souls together for life.
** The show apparently lives and breathes on this trope, as fans have noted Star and Marco are awfully comfortable touching each other in season 2, and hug about once an episode.
** In "My New Wand!", Marco gets locked in Star's closet with her malfunctioning magic wand, and stumbles upon an entry in her diary on "My Thoughts on Marco". Before he can read the whole thing, the incident inspires Star to finally "dip down" and magically unlock the closet without use of her wand. While [[FreezeFrameBonus freeze-framing to see the text]] shows half a page with absolutely nothing that Star should feel any pressing need to prevent Marco from reading, that makes it even ''more'' of a tease since there's obviously something further down and/or on the next page that she ''really'' didn't want him to see.
** Zig-zagged in "Mr. Candle Cares". Star tells the eponymous guidance counselor that Marco is just a friend, and Mr. Candle reports to [[PsychoExBoyfriend Tom]] that "[[PortmanteauCoupleName Starco]] is strictly platonic". At the end, however, when Star and Marco hug, one of Tom's demon minions quips "Point: Marco."
** In "Star vs. Echo Creek", Marco was apparently the one putting up the "Missing" posters with Star's face on them after she runs away, and he's waiting at the police station for her when she finally turns herself in.
** In "Wand to Wand", Star is finally able to use her wand properly again in order to protect Marco.
** In "Camping Trip", Star and Marco are looking forward to spending some time by themselves on a camping trip. They're also apparently close enough that Star's dad assumes Marco is her boyfriend. However, the same episode also has Marco stating that he is NOT Star's boyfriend...[[ShippingGoggles which some fans]] [[SheIsNotMyGirlfriend STILL interpret as]] ShipTease.
** "Starsitting" is full of this, from Marco pulling Star's face close to his to the two [[SleepCute falling asleep next to each other]] at the end. Not to mention the basic premise of the episode being that Star and Marco act as temporary "parents" to Buff Frog's babies.
** "Game of Flags" has Star bring Marco to her family reunion, and in the titular game (a competition between her mother's family and her father's) she decides that she and Marco will compete separately from both groups as if they were a third family in the game. While it surely didn't occur to Star, that would only make sense if Marco were her husband.
** "Sleepover" pretty much tops all of these, teasing at least two ships in one episode. A magical game of "Truth or Punishment" forces Marco to confess about his crush on Jackie. Not only is she okay with this revelation, but she seems to be reevaluating how she feels about Marco as well. The game then accuses Star of lying when she claims that her crush is Oskar Greason. While Star manages to talk her way out of telling the whole truth, the episode ends with Star [[FullNameUltimatum shouting out Marco's name in frustration]] when he tries to go back to bed, causing the busted game to briefly spring back to life and blurt out "TRUTH! [[KilledMidSentence Star Butterfly has a crush on...]]" before being crushed by the garbage truck.
** "Bon Bon the Birthday Clown" has Marco go on a date with Jackie, while Star [[GreenEyedMonster gets increasingly jealous]]. When she uses magic to spy on them, the wand reacts to her jealousy by trying to sabotage them with a shocked Star seemingly realizing why she's jealous. Later, Marco starts to kiss Jackie...then suddenly pulls away thinking of Star and [[CallBack sees a vision of the Blood Moon, triggered by his soul being bound to Star's]].

* ''IronManArmoredAdventures'' is loaded with this. Tony/Pepper, Tony/Whitney, and Rhodey/Whitney all get ship teases in the series, but that's just the intentional ones. Unintentionally there's hints of Pepper/Gene all over the place, though WordOfGod has it they [[RelationshipWritingFumble were meant to just come across as friends.]]

** There is also quite a lot of Ship Tease for a ship that [[spoiler:sinks in the second season which is then reinvigorated by the fans near the end,]] Wendip (Wendy and Dipper). Despite Dipper himself realizing that it is hopeless at times, the show has several episodes where the tease appears reciprocated. A couple of notable episodes include "The Inconveniencing" with their first session of really hanging out and "The Deep End," where Dipper and Wendy continually chill and have fun together as lifeguards at the pool. Then there is "Into the Bunker." This episode begins with [[spoiler:teasing but ends with sinking]]. The tease happens in the beginning with Dipper and Wendy watching a movie at her house, and there is a bit of it when [[spoiler:they get trapped in the closet and bump into each other. After that, however, the ship sinks after Wendy kindfully rejects Dipper]]. There is a little more teasing after that, though, when Dipper and Wendy hug in "Weirdmageddon Part 1." [[spoiler:The Grand Finale is ultimately the biggest revival of the ship with Dipper and Wendy switch hats as they part ways until next summer]].
