Latino Is Brown has been tightened to refer to when all Latinos are brown, or when someone thinks they are. Single-character examples fit in Phenotype Stereotype and Averted Trope examples should not be listed unless notable. Reads like an Aversion tbh

* LatinoIsBrown: Downplayed. Aside from Guido, Belén and Tomás, whom show a more dark-skinned complexion, most of the other characters have varied skin tones, to even very light features, some can even pass off for white (Mia, Vico, Pablo and Sergio). Explained as in Argentina the descendants of Spanish conquerors and Italian/German immigrants far outnumber the indigenous population compared to other parts of South America.

The series became so popular that different countries began airing their own "spin-off" version of the series, like Mexico did with "Rebelde".

Added DiffLines:

* ParentsAsPeople: The show showcased a great variety of parents. While there was a long list of genuinely abusive parents (Sergio, Feli's mom, Marcos' mom), there were also very doting and caring parents who never the less had their flaws. Sonia, Franco and Dunoff were ultimately good people who tried to do the best for their children, but they didn't realize that some actions of theirs could affect their children in a negative manner (Pilar grew up mostly without much friends, while Mia and Marizza are a little too spoiled at times).

* SpicyLatina: Refreshingly averted. Sure, all of the female characters are latinas, and some are fiesty and have their temper, and some are flirts; but it's never shown in a fetishistic way like typical spicy latinas tend to do.
