*** Somewhat averted in one episode, if I recall. Eiji is shown getting ready for bed, and starts removing Candroids he had hidden in his sleeves and boots, as well as wrapped around the inside of his shins.

The major recurring theme in Kamen Rider OOO is about "desire"Yokubō or "greed". The interesting part is that rather than painting a clear Black-and-White picture about the topic, their story advocates a healthy balance between all-consuming obsession and purposeless nihilism; in short, it presents a pragmatic view about desire.

The story opens with the reawakening of the Greeed [sic], a race of powerful monsters created hundreds of years ago with alchemy. Each Greeed is made up of "Core Medals", magical coins which are like their brain and other body organs, and "Cell Medals", which are their 'blood' and food. Cell Medals are created by human desire, and the Greeed 'farm' Cell Medals from humans. Driven by their own insatiable hunger, the Greeed seek both Cell Medals to get stronger, and the far more rare Core Medals, which can unleash their full, terrible power upon the world. There is also a prophecy which states that if a single being is able to gather all of the Core Medals, they will become the destined "Multi King" of the Greeed.

* MultiformBalance: OOO's different forms are referred to as "Combos". In general, any mismatched Combo (including his default [=TaToBa=] Combo is a MasterOfNone. For matching sets, [=GataKiriBa=] is a JackOfAllStats, [=LaToraTah=] is a FragileSpeedster, [=SaGoZo=] is a MightyGlacier, [=TaJaDor=] is a LightningBruiser, [=ShaUTa=] is a SquishyWizard, and [=PuToTyra=] is a DeadlyUpgrade SuperMode. In the tie-in movies, he also gets a StoneWall in [=BuraKaWani=] and two other Super Modes ([=TaMaShii=] and Super [=TaToBa=]).

** MasterOfNone: [=TaToBa=]The same can be said about every Random Combo OOO uses, as they are shown to be not as strong as the single-colored Combo forms, but are still quite useful in battle. This is the first time a lead Rider's primary form isn't the JackOfAllStats.

* AnAesop: An interesting lesson on Greed, or rather Desire. While of course the evils of excess Greed are seen in, well, the Greeed as well as various people who become Yummies, the other side of the spectrum, wanting nothing at all or the lack of desire, is shown in the Purple Core Medals with . The moral of the story is that, well, Greed IS Good, so long as you can control your desires without hurting others.

** Generally a RunningGag with Eiji himself, because according to his grandfather, the most important thing to worry about is tomorrow's underwear.

*** The similarities end at the surface. Dig a little deeper, and you see that they have their own distinctions from the Imagin. Uva is brash, angry, and extremely serious, getting straight to the point without an air of arrogance and cockiness. Mezool is cunning and the one who tries to keep order, as well as a motherly figure to Gamel, who is an immature and rather childish moron who has no desire of his own--except Mezool. Kazari is young, the real laid-back one, and rather hip and trendy, but also fiendishly traitorous and manipulative. Finally, Ankh is calcutating, manipulative to no end, and constantly wants to have things his way, but is also smart enough to see when he should adapt to his situation and will almost always do what's in his best interest, even switching sides

*** Each of his main forms also has one, each of them named to sound exactly like the Combos they're themed for: "Regret Nothing-Tighten Up" for [=TaToBa=] and all Random Combos, "Ride On Right Time" for [=RaToraTa=], "Got To Keep It Real" for [=GaTaKiriba=], "Sun Goes Up" for [=SaGoZou=], "Time Juged All" for [=TaJaDor=] , "Shout Out" for [=ShaUTa=] and finally "Power To Tearer" for [=PuToTyra=]. Taken UpToEleven with the the Combo Change Medley, incorporating every theme into a single song.

*** Red skin, check. Teaming up with the hero for their own reasons, check. Possessing a human, check. Violent, check. Member of the main kaijin who isn't entirely evil, check. Getting beaten up by a black haired, super strong woman, check. Seems like Ankh would get along with a certain hotheaded Imagin. And wouldn't you know it, he's pretty much at Hina's mercy starting from the end of #8. Later subverted as it's shown that he's undoubtedly a villain.
