Trope name is Sci Fi Writers Have No Sense Of Scale, not any of its subpages. Discussion here.

* SciFiWritersHave/NoSenseOfDistance:
** The number of planets featured on screen and their close proximity to each other in almost any given shot of the ''Liberator'' flying through space is absurd.
** Federation pursuit cruisers always maintain an exceptionally close formation despite the vastness of space around them, [[invoked]][[NoBudget as if they're all hanging off the same mounting rod]] (though justified when they're [[AlphaStrike lining up for an attack run]]).
** In "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS1E8Duel Duel]]", Travis explains that the other Federation patrols have pushed the Liberator into this galaxy. One assumes he meant solar system.
** In "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS2E13StarOne Star One]]", a space minefield blocks the invasion route between our galaxy and Andromeda. Minefields are only effective when they guard [[ChokepointGeography chokepoints]]. In this case the invasion fleet [[TwoDSpace could simply maneuver around it]].
* NothingIsScarier: Federation pursuit ships were often more effectively conveyed through pea lights than model shots. It also added a [[SciFiWritersHaveNoSenseOfScale sense of distance to the space battles]].

* ArcherArchetype: Dayna. Female, graceful, and rather cocky in comparison to the world-weary {{Anti Hero}}es she teams up with, she's even shown using a bow and arrow in her introductory episode, because she enjoys the challenge of mastering the GoodOldWays.

** Dayna's BigDamnHeroes moment by saving Avon from some angry natives [[ArcherArchetype with her bow and arrow]].

* CoolGuns: None of which are named. The Liberator guns (a [[MakeMeWannaShout sonic]] [[LaserBlade lance]] according to sfx designer Ian Scoones), the clip-fed pistols from Season D, and the carbines used by the Federation. A [[IKEAWeaponry rifle that could be disassembled into a shorter version]] was designed, but only shown in the last two episodes [[spoiler:(the carbine version is used by Avon to kill Blake).]]

I removed the "Only One Name" example. There's no indication the characters listed "go by a single name, with no family/clan/whatever identifier" and the way it was written it included the some main characters who are just typically referred to by either their first or last name (e.g. Avon). I instead added a "No Full Name Given" example for those characters whose full name is unknown.

* NoFullNameGiven: If Cally, Soolin, Servalan, and Travis have another name, we are never told it.

* OnlyOneName: All the main characters are known by one name only, and it is inconsistent as to whether it is their first or last name. It's not established in the case of Cally, Soolin, Servalan, and Travis if they even have another name. It seems to be that upper-class folks use their family names, while lower-class characters use their given names.

Added DiffLines:

* PlotTailoredToTheParty: In "Games" everyone except Dayna teleport onto a ship where they have to complete a series of games/obstacles. While Orac relays information about the games and the ship's systems (his specialty), the first happens to be a quick-draw game (Soolin's specialty), the next a space piloting simulator (Tarrant's specialty) and they then have to get past a lock (Vila's specialty). This is somewhat downplayed with Avon, since while he does complete the last obstacle (computing a star in a sequence) this isn't specifically a specialty of his.

* BridgeBunnies: Subverted with Servalan who has an AmazonBrigade of mutoids ([[IDoNotDrinkWine creepy]] female cyborgs) to provide this function, as [[invoked]][[EvilIsSexy she's quite glamorous in her own right]], thank you. Though Travis notes sardonically that she has a tendency to surround herself with handsome ''male'' staff.

* PaintedOnPants: Apparently Creator/PaulDarrow once wore a pair of leather trousers that were so tight, he had to be helped up and down in scenes where Avon was kneeling down to do something technical. [[invoked]][[EvilIsSexy Travis]] and [[BridgeBunnies Jenna]] also wear them.

* EmpireWithADarkSecret: The Terran Federation maintains control of its citizens through fear and through dosing the air and water with pacification drugs. In extreme cases such as Roj Blake's, brainwashing and re-programming were utilised when simply killing the individual would not result in the best outcome for the Federation.

Anything That Moves is a disambiguation

** The second crew gets in on it, too: Cally and Dayna are both pretty blatantly attracted to Avon, but there's also Vila with a none-too-subtle crush on Dayna; while Dayna and Tarrant have perhaps the only explicit, canonical romance between main characters in the show (though "romance" might be slightly too sentimental a term for what they apparently get up to). Avon meanwhile gives the impression of still [[AnythingThatMoves just being Avon]], while in particular having an implied FriendsWithBenefits dynamic with Soolin in the final season.

* EnemyMine: In "Killer" and "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS2E13StarOne Star One]]" Blake chooses to warn the Federation of a greater threat to humanity. Servalan isn't above joining forces when stranded on a planet with our heroes, but they have to be careful about turning their back on her ("[[Recap/BlakesSevenS3E1Aftermath Aftermath]]", "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS3E11Moloch Moloch]]" and "Sand").

* SwordOverHead: Particularly noticeable the first couple of seasons because Travis (and sometimes Servalan) had PlotArmour, as they had to survive to serve as Blake's ArchEnemy. The reasons given include Blake knowing that the Federation would just send someone else (and he's convinced he can always beat Travis), [[IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim because he's worried he'd enjoy it]], or as a CruelMercy (because Travis will be punished for failing, or because he's lost everything after going RogueAgent). When Avon becomes the leader he's not burdened by such qualms, so Servalan usually arranges a MexicanStandoff or VillainExitStageLeft However Avon (and Tarrant in "Sand", despite Servalan arranging the death of his brother) seem equally [[FoeRomanceSubtext reluctant to kill her]] as Blake was to kill Travis.

** Servalan predicts that the crew of the Liberator will end up this way after Blake's departure and she's not entirely wrong -- episodes like "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS3E5TheHarvestOfKairos The Harvest of Kairos]]", "[[Recap/BlakesSevenS4E8Games Games]]" and "Gold" basically involve our anti-heroes attempting TheCaper under the [[TheRevolutionWillNotBeCivilized guise of stymieing Servalan or raising money for the cause]].
