IT. it came from between the folds of time and space and worlds and light and dark something that is but should not be slipped in and called out to them as their god and they believed it and they tasted it and touched it and layed with it and became its property and did its will and IT IS STILL HERE"

** [[http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-804 SCP-804]]: "They simply ''wanted'' to do it."

to:

** An ''accidental'' example, in the form of EarlyInstallmentWeirdness creating a MetaTwist, occurs at the beginning of SCP-682's entry. It's a recurring theme of the articles that the purpose of the Foundation is ''not'' to destroy objects, but rather to study and contain them. Which makes it so startling (at least to a new reader who doesn't know 682 is the second-oldest object on the site) that 682's containment procedures begin with this line:
--->"SCP-682 must be destroyed as soon as possible."

** [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2547 SCP-2547]] is Coyote himself. He wants to become more famous so the Foundation helps him with that to reduce the number of manifestations that tend to turn people into canines.

** Interestingly 2164-B can not only affect people with potions and rituals but with [[ClapYourHandsIfYouBelieve her own beliefs]] as well -- for instance a healthy D-class became autistic in her circle of influence because she believes vaccines cause autism.

* WhiteSheep: While they don't seem to be deliberately rebelling, [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2815 SCP-2815]] is notable for being the first and possibly only ''benign'' [[ReligionOfEvil Sarkic cult]] community ever discovered: the cannibalism is only for funerals, their flaying ritual is done on fruit, and most amazingly of all [[spoiler: no one died or even went insane in the exploration log!]]. To the consternation of more concerned members of the Foundation (they are still inbred cannibalistic cultists who are "tricking" people into eating human flesh fruit and accepting anomalous blood and organs via the Manna Charitable Foundation (and given [[GoneHorriblyWrong Manna's track record...]])) not even ''[[WellIntentionedExtremist the Global Occult Coalition]]'' wanted to neutralize them as there was simply no proof they or their products were actively harmful.

* First of all, the Foundation is (indirectly) named after this. The Foundation calls a paranormal entity/object/etc an SCP, which comes from "Special Containment Procedures" as in the list of things which must be done to keep a paranormal thing locked up, or at least reduce the danger it causes and keep the public ignorant of it, and the rules which must be followed by any researcher who wants to study it. Each file goes into detail how every SCP is contained, ranging from as extreme as keeping a regenerating OmnicidalManiac immersed in a vat of concentrated hydrochloric acid to as minor as fencing off areas where weird stuff happen.

** [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2747 SCP-2747]] destroys narratives "from within" when references to a non-existent work of fiction start appearing on online discussion forums, including a non-existent Creator/SatoshiKon movie on this very wiki and an album from the "now defunct" band Music/{{Radiohead}}. Because SCP-2747 is only known from references it's been impossible to observe directly; fortunately the Foundation found a way and it revealed [[spoiler: [[ApocalypseHow/ClassZ [DATA LOST] ]] ]]
