History Roleplay / FoolishMortals

Foolish Mortals is a short-term Disney-themed murdergame, and it will be conducted in the manner of the many murdergames that have come before it. In this case, our happy home draws it's primary inspiration from [[Roleplay/DanganRoleplay Dangan Roleplay.]]

The catch is that this is a Disney romp, and only characters from Disney and Disney-owned media will be allowed to join our happy haunts here.

In Round 2, 24 more guests wake up in [[Ride/TheTwilightZoneTowerofTerror The Hollywood Tower Hotel]]. [[Series/TheTwilightZone The Narrator]] welcomes them with a very similar game, with the twist being that they seem to be stuck in their very own episode of... ''The Twilight Zone.''

* BloodStainedLetter: Averted in the second investigation, as the letter found in [[spoiler: Sophie]]'s pocket was blood-free.
* BodyOfTheWeek: A staple of murdergames.
* CartwrightCurse: [[spoiler: One half of every ship is dead by the end of Round 1.]]
* CastFullOfGay: It's generally accepted that Jiminy and Kiara are the only straight characters around. And even Jiminy has a thing with mini-Maui going on.

* FlayedAlive: [[spoiler: Inverted. After one of the most disturbing kills of the game, a lion-skin rug is all that remains of Kiara, and the worst part is, her killer was trying to ''heal her.'']] [[spoiler: Her innards make an unwelcome cameo in Season 3.]]
* FamilyOfChoice: The Round 1 survivors have always been extremely close-knit, but when contrasted with the... [[{{Understatement}} lack of cohesion]] between the other two groups, it really highlights the fact that Round 1 is the most ride or die.
* GraveHumor: The tombstones of the dead have a rhyming couplet alluding to how they died.
* HauntedHouse: The setting of Round 1 is one that draws heavy inspiration from one of the most [[Franchise/TheHauntedMansion famous examples.]]
* HoldingHands: Tip and Anna Sasaki do this while [[spoiler: escaping the graveyard after Ghost Host gets killed.]]
* MasqueradeBall: Taking place on the Fourth of July.

* TalkingAnimal: Being a Disney game, round one inevitably houses the likes of Kiara and Jiminy Cricket.
* TeamPet: Heihei (named "Honey Nut" by Wander) was this for a while. [[Disney/BigHero6 Mochi]] becomes one as well, with [[Literature/TheTrueMeaningOfSmekday Pig]] and [[WesternAnimation/WallE Chaun]][[FanNickname cey]] joining the group of pets not long after.
* TrailOfBlood: Lea happens upon one at the beginning of Week 4 but ultimately [[WhatAnIdiot decides it's not very important]].
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: There are many non-humans in the first round, most notably [[WesternAnimation/WallE WALL-E]], a little robot who is more or less seen as his own being by most of the cast. [[spoiler: It's the reason why Demyx felt he could murder him without remorse.]]

* AppropriateAnimalAttire: Discussed [=ICly=], as the animals in the cast run the gamut from [[TheDogIsAnAlien technically]] [[UnscaledMerfolk naked]] (Stitch, Ursula) to HalfDressedCartoonAnimal (Chip, Donald, Oswald) to PettingZooPerson (Goofy, Roxanne). [[FullyDressedCartoonAnimal Ratigan]] takes the most offense to the ones missing articles of clothing.
* ChekhovsGag: Because one of The Narrator's icons includes him holding a gun, there is a reoccurring joke of "FINALLY, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, ROD SERLING HAS A GUN". This culminates with [[spoiler:The Narrator being forced to shoot a glitched out Stitch to save Chip from getting killed.]]

* BroughtDownToNormal: Several of the curses for the first motive do this.
* DisneyAcidSequence: Randall Rech summons the [[Disney/{{Dumbo}} Pink Elephants]] as walking hallucinogens for the fifth week's motive. He even calls out the trope by name, [[WhoWritesThisCrap but he's not particularly happy about it.]]
* ForeignCussWord / PardonMyKlingon: Used by a few characters in lieu of English swear words. [[note]]For ease of communication, all characters speak English while in the game, even if they would technically be speaking a non-English language normally.[[/note]]
* IAmNotWeasel: Rocket may ''look'' like a raccoon, but call him one at your own risk. Has become something of a RunningGag.
* KilledOffForReal: Permanent death becomes a very real concern for the heroes once Hades stops the initial process that let the heroes ''avoid'' passing on to the next world.
* PetTheDog: The host, [[spoiler: [[Disney/ThePrincessAndTheFrog Facilier]],]] shows some degree of affection for [[Film/{{Descendants}} Freddie]], who is [[spoiler: the daughter of his alternate self.]]
* PlotTailoredToTheParty: Inverted by the first motive, which curses the characters by removing their greatest strengths or otherwise playing to their personal fears.
* RunningGag: Almost every week, there will be a fakeout death. [[spoiler: Futhermore, the first three fakeout deaths are also the victims of the weeks after said fakeouts.]]
* SpaghettiKiss: Kimberly ''tries'' to invoke this with Hiro and Marco. [[spoiler:It doesn't work as intended, but they still [[ShutUpKiss kiss]] anyway.]]
* TheSwearJar: Mr. Arrow starts one early in the first week, but it's mostly ignored.
* TrueLovesKiss: I mean, yeah, it's a Disney game, this had to come up eventually. But week 5 had not one but ''two'' curses broken with a kiss. [[spoiler: First Stan woke Leia from a ForcedSleep with a kiss, and then later that same week Ariel got her voice back after she and Freddie kissed.]]

After the main three rounds was over, a new round was started, where a selection of characters from non-Disney WesternAnimation are brought to [[Film/SpaceJam Moron Mountain]] for entertainment...aka a murdergame.
