**Two examples that would be closer to each other in history: Romans(Red Oni)/Greeks(Blue Oni), and Egyptians(Blue Oni)/Mesopotamians(Red Oni).

* Among the First Triumvirate in Ancient Rome, the red was UsefulNotes/PompeyTheGreat, the fashionable and charismatic maverick who loved the spotlight, and the blue was Marcus Crassus, the behind the scenes wheeler-dealer who preferred to stay in the shadows. Creator/GaiusJuliusCaesar fell somewhere between the two.

* The Romans and the Ancient Egyptians form this dynamic. Though they were excellent strategists and warriors, The Romans themselves were very corrupt in terms of politics and how they treated foreign settlers (especially the Iceni Tribe). Conquest was all they desired, and had been thwart by nearby barbarians on multiple occasions. In the end the Roman Empire fell leaving only various remnants behind. The Ancient Egyptians however cleverly preserved their legacy to last decades in immaculate conditions, for the Egyptians it was tradition they cherished. Of course the Egyptians had their share of battles, but it was their craftwork that truly succeeded.

* Historically the Celts and the Romans formed this overtime. The Romans were highly advanced and brilliant tacticians, who kept a long legacy going even after their centurial demise many years ago. To the Roman's it was knowledge, discovery and undying obedience towards the emperor that cemented their names throughout history. As for the Celts, their story met a bitter end, the Celts were unorganized and barbaric who were quickly silenced by the Romans after the fall of Boudicca. Their defeat left them no choice but to share Britain, until eventually the Romans departed.

* Bellatrix (a large blue giant star) and Betelgeuse (a red supergiant), both located in the "shoulder" parts of the constellation Orion, opposite each other. Bellatrix is a very hot star, while Betelgeuse is a relatively cool one. Both are nearing the end of their stellar lifespans, and both are likely to go out in a supernova. Bellatrix will most likely become a magnetar or a black hole, and Betelgeuse will most likely become a pulsar or neutron star. This is because Bellatrix is more massive than Betelgeuse.

** After the nomination this became FAR more extreme, with Donald Trump (red to the point of repeatedly bragging about sexual assault) up against Hillary Clinton (so blue that she sometimes came off as more manufactured marketing than human being). In order to avoid entering that dreaded place known as Opinionland, let's just say both sides have very significant flaws. That doesn't mean they're equally bad, but you can draw your own conclusions. Reality is, after all, largely a collective subjectivity.

* At least in Sweden, teenagers in the 1980s were divided between "synthers" and "hard rockers" according to their favorite music styles. Synthers were supposed to be sophisticated, studious and tight-laced (Blue Oni), while the hard rockers were supposed to be rebellious, messy and rugged (Red Oni). You can see a similar divide between their respective music styles: polished electronic synth music (Blue Oni) vs aggressive guitar-based rock music (Red Oni).[[note]]People used to also see a SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan divide between the two groups, with the synthers being androgynous nerds (sensitive guys) and the hard rockers being macho (manly men).[[/note]]
