The mission was orphaned of its setup when "Divide et Impera" was removed from the game when the "Romulan Mystery" arc was revamped in 2015, but the Foundry community quickly restored it.

* IdiosyncraticEpisodeNaming[=/=]JustifiedTitle: "Divide et Impera", the Cryptic mission to which this is a sequel, means "DivideAndConquer" in Latin. "Divide ut Regnes" is the operational CodeName for the attempt to capture Zelle, and means "divide and rule".

Added DiffLines:

* CatharsisFactor: This mission exists for everyone who wanted to crush Zelle in combat. Lampshaded by your bridge crew afterwards.

Added DiffLines:

* NinjaProp: Of course, the real reason Zelle was still on Starbase 39 after Divide et Impera was [[AcceptableBreaksFromReality for everyone else who would play the mission in the future]]. Here it's integrated into the plot.
* OneWingedAngel: Once the villain is finally cornered, she fights in a weak romulan form for a while before switching to her true undine form (which isn't that much stronger). Then for no apparent reason (besides [[CatharsisFactor Catharsis]] and [[StableTimeLoop destiny]]) [[BishonenLine becomes Zelle again]] and starts unleashing her strongest moves on you.

* ForWantOfANail: {{Discussed|Trope}} by Agent Green, invoking the "many worlds" theory. He says that although your success is a ForegoneConclusion, every decision you make branches off alternate versions of you that may or may not succeed.

* ArcWelding: Captain.Hunter does a lot of this, putting together seemingly unrelated details from missions before and after "Divide et Impera". For example, why are the Romulans planning an attack on the Federation in "Preemptive Strike"? [[spoiler:They're responding to Zelle framing the Federation for the attack on Vendor Station in "Divide et Impera", and then your time-traveling ship hitting a facility on Rator III to snatch her.]] And how did T'nae know about the planned attack and decide to launch an un-Federation-like preemptive strike? [[spoiler:Because you warned her that the attack was coming.]]
