* BullyingADragon: Cartman spends a good portion of the episode making racist jabs and patronizing Tolkien, leading to his beating at the latter's hands after Tolkien has finally enough of him.

* ComicalOverreacting: Faith Plus One fans scream in pain and horror, and scatter upon hearing Cartman curse Jesus, with them covering their ears with their hands, one man even crying that his ears are bleeding.

* FatalFlaw: Cartman's pride is on full force. Instead of being happy with his success as a Christian rock star, he blows his career and drives Tolkien and Butters away from him because he can't win a bet against Kyle.

* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Downplayed. Tolkien knocks Cartman onto the floor with two hard slugs and a kick to the face after ruining the band and one too many racist jabs.

* SpoiledBrat: Played for laughs, Master P.'s son wants an island in French Polynesia for his birthday, and as part of the FauxHorrific montage Yates make the boys feel guilty for the fact that he may not get his tropical paradise because they download music.

** That's the reason why Tolkien agrees to form the band with Cartman and Butters, in spite of his skepticism and of Cartman's attitude. He isn't pleased when Cartman spend all the money they made for the presentation ceremony, and contributes to his beating of Cartman.

* ComicTrio: Faith Plus One forms this dynamic. The selfish, narcissitic Cartman who despite his schemes, doesn't think things through is the leader. His fellow bandmates are the innocent and naive Butters, and the more sensible Tolkien, who frequently questions Cartman's ideas.

Cartman, Butters, and Token soar to the top of the Christian rock charts, but when the other boys kick Cartman out, he seeks a way to get them back.

* IllKillYou: Cartman mutters behind Token's back that he's going to kill him one day, only to cowardly pretend he didn't say anything after Token angrily turn back and asks what he's saying.
* LaserGuidedKarma: After using Christians' faith and gullibility to sell a million albums and make millions of dollars just to win a bet against Kyle with plagiarized love songs, and using Butters and Token with him making many racist comments to him, Cartman ruins himself and earn himself a well-deserved beating by Token, by spending all of his money in a ridiculously lavish award ceremony just to spite Kyle only to realize that he cannot beat Kyle due to Christian Music awarding Myrrh albums instead of Platinum albums, and by cursing Jesus which caused him to alienate his entire audience and finally turn Token and Butters against him. At the end Cartman is left alone, beaten and ruined.

* RichInDollarsPoorInSense: Cartman won millions of dollars thanks to Faith+1 album sales, but spend all of the money his band made in a ridiculously expensive and lavish award ceremony with clowns, an elephant parade and a giant wheel just to make his winning of the bet against Kyle the sweetest possible, much to Token's dismay.

* StereotypeReactionGag: Cartman claims that Token must have a bass guitar at his house somewhere because he and his family are black. Despite being certain that his family does not own a bass, he finds one, but says he doesn't know how to play it. Again, Cartman tells him that he's black, so of course he can play it. Token is offended by Cartman's stereotyping, but Cartman tells him to just shut up and play the damn thing. To his own surprise, Token discovers that he can actually play it perfectly, and can only mutter, "Goddammit..." in defeat.

* VillainousBreakdown: Cartman, when he realizes that he can never get a platinum album with Christian rock and thus will never win his bet against Kyle, causing him to furiously smash his myrrh album and then curse Jesus' name twice in front of his whole audience, before insulting Token leading to his beating.
