* TookALevelInBadass: Archie Hopper, after listening to Henry tell of him being Jimminy Cricket, finally takes the time to stand up to Regina, and take care of Henry without hurting his feelings. It's heavily implied that Regina may have been emotionally abusive. After all, she did many things to make Henry think he was crazy, so he would think he was wrong about the curse, including blackmailing his therapist. It's Archie standing up for himself and Henry. He's telling her that he will not allow her to use him to hurt Henry. He's telling her that if she tries to cruelly manipulate him again, he will do his part to get Henry with Emma, whom he knows loves Henry and will take care of him. He's not threatening Regina. He's standing up for himself, and trying to end what he sees as Regina's emotional abuse. Also, at no point did Archie entertain Henry's belief. When Henry asked him about it, he directly said "No". He only wanted to know why it was so important to Henry. The issue was Archie telling Henry he was insane, and was going to be locked away. Archie apologized to Henry personally for it, and even put the blame on himself instead of Regina. He just wants the best for Henry. And in the end, Henry was right.

* AbusiveParents: Jiminy's parents manipulate his good will to stop him from ever leaving them, no matter how many crimes they rope him into.

%%* {{Expy}}: To the Thenardiers of the musical version of ''LesMiserables''.

* ForTheEvulz: Why do Jiminy's parents swindle people when they have plenty of money? "It's the principle of the thing!"

* {{Jerkass}}: To put it mildly. Jiminy Cricket's parents are so unrepentantly depraved, they make the Evil Queen look cuddly by comparison.
* KarmaHoudini: Jiminy's parents escaped any real repercussions for all the thieving and such that they did/made Jiminy do.

* NightmareFuel: The reveal of what happened to Gepetto's parents. The fact that they look like they are screaming doesn't help matters.
* TookALevelInBadass: Archie Hopper, after listening to Henry tell of him being Jimminy Cricket, finally takes the time to stand up to Regina, and take care of Henry without hurting his feelings.
** TookALevelInJerkass and WhatTheHellHero: Archie takes his stand by essentially threatening to have Henry taken away from Regina. This is a problem when you realize that he would have to essentially lie to authorities to make good on his threat. Regina may not be a nice person, but she has displayed no signs of being an unfit parent for Henry and has been shown to really love him. Also, by entertaining Henry's belief of the curse, Archie is also entertaining the idea of Henry's mother being "evil" which is harmful for their parent-child relationship. Although the alternative, Regina making Henry think he's crazy rather than admitting the curse is real, is harmful to him, too.
