* OutOfCharacterMoment: NiceGuy Goofy is a bit grumpy in this short. He also doesn't seem to recognize Mickey or Donald.
** Though this is probably just a case of Goofy receiving the "George Geef" treatment by him getting cast in random roles. Plus, Goofy often was grumpy in some of his classic shorts, too, especially in the '40s, '50s and '60s ones (i.e., "Motor Mania", in which Goofy plays an average suburbanite who is [[SplitPersonality an entirely different person]] [[DrivesLikeCrazy once behind the wheel]]).

* ShoutOut: The letters "DMV" on Mickey's I.D. are written in a font called "Started by a Mouse", which is the same font used primarily for [[Ride/DisneyThemeParks Disneyland]].

* {{Bowdlerise}}: The digital comic adaptation of this short cut out a lot of the scenes where Mickey desperately tried to hide his nudity and replaced the "Look at those hot buns" innuendo with Mickey asking "What's taking so long?"

And at the end when a naked Donald is fleeing from a laughing crowd, he says to himself: "Some people have no class!" while scratching his belly button.

* BehindAStick: How Mickey hides from Minnie and Daisy. Taken UpToEleven when he walks behind a wrought iron fence with only his ears and feet visible.

[[WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse Mickey]] and [[WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck Donald]] arrive at a beach boardwalk, where they're expecting [[WesternAnimation/MinnieMouse Minnie]] and Daisy to meet up with them. Mickey decides to buy lunch so they can surprise the girls with a picnic, but WesternAnimation/{{Goofy}}'s Snack Shack has a DressCode that won't let Mickey and Donald in since Mickey has no shirt and Donald has no shoes. After a game of straws... er, feathers, Donald walks in with Mickey's shoes, shorts and gloves to order the food, but that leaves Mickey out in the nude. Can Mickey avoid being seen by the time Donald finishes?
