!The Other Woman
In flashbacks, Juliet takes sessions with the Others' therapist, Harper. She meets Goodwin, Harper's husband, and they begin an affair. Harper confronts Juliet, and tells her Ben will hurt Goodwin if they continue. After Ethan's death Juliet tries to persuade Ben to let Goodwin return to the Barracks, but he insists on making him stay as a spy with the Tailies. Ben shows Juliet Goodwin's body after his death, and tells her that she is his.

At the beach, Jack and Juliet look for Daniel and Charlotte, who have wandered into the jungle. Juliet is approached by Harper, who tells her that Daniel and Charlotte are headed for the Tempest, and that Ben wants her to stop them from its poisonous gas to kill everyone on the Island. Daniel and Charlotte meet Kate in the jungle, and knock her out when she questions their story. Juliet confronts Daniel and Charlotte at the Tempest. She fights and overpowers Charlotte, but Daniel convinces her their goal is to render the gas inert, not release it. She allows him to complete his task, and the group return to camp.

!Tropes in this episode include:
* BaitAndSwitch: In the opening flashback, Juliet and Harper's dialogue, with Juliet worrying about being treated like a celebrity, implies that it is a flashforward and Juliet is one of the Oceanic Six. Then Tom opens the door, confirming it is a flashback to when Juliet first arrived on the Island.
* DesignatedGirlFight: At the Tempest, Juliet fights Charlotte rather than Daniel. Justified, as Daniel is a NonActionGuy, making Charlotte the greater physical threat.
* EntitledToHaveYou: Ben does not take Juliet's rejection of his affections well, arranging Goodwin's death after he begins an affair with her and outright telling her "You're mine" when he shows her his body.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: It's revealed that the DHARMA Initiative themselves used the Tempest to develo the poisonous gas that was used to kill them in the Purge.
* TapOnTheHead: Downplayed. Though Charlotte knocks Kate out quite easily with her pistol, Kate is clearly shaken up when she comes to and requires attention from Jack.
* UriahGambit: Ben sends Goodwin to spy on the Tailies in the hopes of getting him killed due to his relationship with Juliet.
