* CallForward: When Walt gets uncooperative, Ms. Klugh warns that he may have to go back in "the room". This is certainly a reference to the room we see in future episodes where Karl is getting TheLudovicoTechnique, implying that Walt had been put in there too.

* CallBack: Mrs. Klugh questions Michael about Walt's childhood, and when he admits he wasn't present she comments on how little he knows about a child he wants to find so badly. This scene echoes the custody hearing between Michael and Susan seen in a flashback in "[[Recap/LostS02E02Adrift Adrift]]" where Susan's lawyer commented on how little Michael knew about Walt.

* OnceMoreWithClarity: Michael's perspective on Jack's meeting with Mr. Friendly in "[[{{Recap/LostS02E11TheHuntingParty}} The Hunting Party]]" reveals that he was being kept prisoner by the Others within earshot of the entire scene, and actually saw Kate captured with a bag over her head, but was threatened to prevent him from alerting her to his presence. It also confirms that the "Alex" that Mr. Friendly shouted out to was Rousseau's daughter, and she is the [[{{Recap/LostS02E15MaternityLeave}} girl who saved Claire from the Staff]], although another Other named Pickett ends up bringing Kate out instead of her.

-->'''Sawyer:''' Is that what they're calling it these days?
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Michael is confused when he sees the name James Ford on the list of survivors he has to bring to the Others, before Ms. Klugh tells him that he knows him as Sawyer.
