* HalfwayPlotSwitch: The episode begins with Peter and the guys going to a concert, during which time Peter loses his wallet. After looking around for it for a while, he discovers that it was stolen by James Woods, who is seeking revenge against Peter for what happened in his last appearance in "Peter's Got Woods". Woods then proceeds to steal Peter's family and his life, and after failing to reclaim his family, Peter spends the rest of the episode impersonating James Woods and ruining ''his'' life.

As Family Guy is known to be an adult cartoon that regularly engages in black comedy and sexual humor, it's kind of a stretch to say that Foghorn Leghorn being decapitated by Colonel Sanders and Spidey suffering premature ejaculations are intended as middle fingers to the characters.

* TakeThat:
** After Brian asks Stewie for help to get unhitched from his pole, Stewie refuses in retaliation for making him "watch that video with the two girls and a cup!" This is followed by a cutaway to Brian filming Stewie sitting at a computer watching an unseen video. He comments, "Okay, they're lesbians clearly..." and then proceeds to become surprised, shocked, and nearly ill as the video proceeds. This segment is a reference to the fifty-second-long viral video 2 girls, 1 cup, which features two girls performing sexual acts based around fecal matter; Brian's filming Stewie is in fact a reference to a common Youtube fad where members either watch the video themselves or show it to others, filming the viewer's reaction.
** To Looney Tunes. Foghorn Leghorn walks into a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant and greets Colonel Sanders and comments on how good it smells in there. Sanders then decapitates him with a meat cleaver and Foghorn Leghorn makes a joke about his own headless body running around like "a chicken with its head cut off" before realizing what he is talking about.
** When Brian asks Stewie how fast he can forge an ID for Peter, Stewie says faster than Spider-Man gets laid. The action cuts to a scene of Spider-Man clad only in his mask and boxer shorts, sitting on the edge of his bed, apologizing to a sexually unsatisfied woman under a spiderweb about his premature ejaculation.

** For probably one of the only times in the later run of the series, Joe is not only completely focused on his job when he kicks Peter out, but actually ''forces Peter out of his clothes'' when James claims them as well. It's one of the few times Joe is actually the badass police officer he was before his paralyzation, instead of his skills being an InformedAbility.
** James is able to figure out the disguise of "Scooter" quickly when he claims it's his first time seeing the family, but still responds "Shut up, Meg" without even trying to answer their question.

* ParentalNeglect: Meg's unpopularity, even with the family, is again briefly mentioned. When Peter discovers Brian tied up in the garden, he inquires "Brian, what are you doing tied to Meg's pole?", implying that she is regularly tethered in the yard. Of course there is also the double-entendre on the word "pole". Ironically, it actually seems like James was a ''better'' father than Peter, actually giving her encouraging, if somewhat incorrect, information on how to improve herself; note how James is able to figure out "Scooter" is Peter in disguise when even in the disguise, claiming to be meeting the family for the first time, his first reaction to Meg's question is still "Shut up, Meg." It could imply at least ''he'' didn't put her down so much- enough to wonder why Meg wasn't trying to stop Peter herself simply out of spite.

* PoliceAreUseless: Joe in particular falls for what James Woods has done and throws Peter out of his own house. Lois even calls him out on it. Subverted in that James did show him all the legal identification in "Peter's" name, and thus, Joe, for better or worse, may have ''had'' to side with James. Also subverted in that it's actually one of the few times Joe is actually seen ''acting'' like a proper policeman.

* YankTheDogsChain: Meg once again gets the business. Lois accuses him of ruining the family, but one of the only acts we see with them is James actually giving Meg ''helpful'' information. A damning point is that, even in a ''disguise'', Peter still decides it's WorthIt to blow his cover to tell her to shut up. Once again, it's enough to make one wonder why Meg doesn't try to keep Peter out herself out of spite, if not towards him then maybe towards ''Lois'' for not even trying to take her into consideration.
