* {{Foreshadowing}}: Peter proclaims that his restaurant won't serve "the little wigs" and refuses to accommodate a man with a Discover card. Whilst played humorously, this also serves to foretell Peter's pickiness when it comes to customers such as Joe's handicapped friends and why they aren't making enough money.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Peter quickly goes overboard with the static shocking, and Lois responds in exactly the way one would expect in that circumstance: since he refuses to stop wearing the pajamas, she's ripping out the carpet.
** Peter, in typical fashion, only serves the clientele ''he wants'', and actively '''criticizes''' the potential customers for simply having a small wig or the wrong credit card. To nobody's shock (especially when one finds the cooks responding to criticism by having ''rats puke on their food''), the restaurant quickly sees attendance dry up and their finances hemorrhaging, nearly losing the restaurant as a result until Peter lets Joe and his friends in.
** ''Then'', Peter still has the nerve to refuse his clientele because they're still not what he wants. Joe is understandably offended, especially since he sees it as because they're ''handicapped''; Peter should frankly be lucky he ''only'' fought him as a result. Especially considering he's still a ''police officer'', and if not being able to arrest him for it, he could've easily gotten the restaurant shut down by the city for it. As it were, it's an example where StatusQuoIsGod was the realistic option; considering we never see the restaurant again, it can be inferred they lost it altogether, particularly after the medical bills and property damage fines that resulted from Peter and Crippletron!Joe's fight.
** If that wasn't enough, it should've been obvious Peter couldn't run a restaurant when his last one failed from him putting a secret ingredient in the cupcakes that results in their ''heads exploding''.

** Peter, in typical fashion, only serves the clientele ''he wants'', and actively '''criticizes''' the potential customers for simply having a small wig or a shoddy credit card. To nobody's shock (especially when one finds the cooks responding to criticism by having ''rats puke on their food''), the restaurant quickly sees attendance dry up and their finances hemorrhaging, nearly losing the restaurant as a result until Peter lets Joe and his friends in.

** The cutaway where Peter's last restaurant failed because the secret ingredient in his cupcakes was ''gunpowder'' was a foreboding sign that Peter didn't know how to run a restaurant.

* ShaggyDogStory: It could be inferred from the cutaway when it's revealed Peter put ''gunpowder in the cupcakes'' in his last restaurant that the House of Munch was practically doomed to fail from the start.

** If that wasn't enough, it should've been obvious Peter couldn't run a restaurant when his last one failed from him putting ''gunpowder'' in the cupcakes.

* TrashTheSet: Big Pete's House of Munch receives substantial damage in the battle with the wheelchair-bound, and considering it's never seen again and its prior financial struggles, it's natural to assume the Griffins lost it.

* ArtisticLicenseLaw: Peter bans Joe and his friends because they're in wheelchairs and he thinks that "crippled people aren't cool". While Joe takes revenge against Peter [[HumungousMecha in a different way]], such discrimination would be grounds for Joe to have the place shut down, especially since he's a police officer.

* ArtisticLicenseBiology : Stewie gets payback on a snooty customer by having a rat vomit on his prime rib. Rats are not capable of vomiting.

* TakeThat: After patching things up, Joe invites Peter to watch ''Series/GreysAnatomy'' with him and Bonnie. Peter says that sounds like an awful thing to do.

* {{Bowdleri|se}}zation: The cutaway of Peter with Patrick Stewart's voice was different between the TV and the DVD version. The TV version has Peter's (with Patrick Stewart's voice) line as, "Hey, Lois. I spent the afternoon writing a list of famous Armenians. Eric Bogosian, Andre Agassi, Jerry 'The Shark' Tarkanian. That is all." On DVD (and Adult Swim), the line goes, "Hey, Lois. Sorry about the mess in the upstairs bathroom this morning. My post-sex pee stream forked in half last night and got everywhere."

* HalfwayPlotSwitch: The episode goes through several plots in rapid succession: Peter ruins his suit (so he can make a Hitler scarecrow to scare off Mort Goldman), and buys some adult-sized footie pajamas at a thrift store. He becomes a faux-superhero by rubbing his feet on the carpet and shocking people. A fed-up Lois hires Quagmire to rip up all the carpet in the house and finds a coin worth a lot of money, which the Griffins use to open a restaurant, the restaurant then becomes a favorite of crippled people, Peter bans the cripples and fights against them and then (after refusing to help Peter after he badmouthed Creator/BenStiller in a CutawayGag from earlier in the episode by saying that his movies are terrible) becomes crippled himself. The remainder of the plot is devoted to him coming to terms with being in a wheelchair and apologizing to Joe for banning him.

* {{Irony}}: Fed up with Mort borrowing his things, Peter decides to retaliate with a "Scare Jew". It works... as soon as Mort arrived to return one of the things he borrowed.
