At Task Force headquarters, Light sees Kiyomi Takada, a girl he dated in college, on TV as Kira's new spokesperson to replace Demigawa, chosen by Mikami. Light tells the Task Force that he knew her and they may be able to get information about Kira by him meeting her. They agree, but Aizawa insists on wiretapping their meeting place. Light calls her and tells her that he'd like to meet her, saying that Misa is not intelligent enough for him. When Light meets Takada at the hotel, she recieves a call from Mikami. Light manipulates the situation to not only let Mikami know that he is Kira, but to get rid of the wiretaps in the room. Once he's free to speak, he tells Kiyomi that he is Kira and asks her to help him rule the world.
