* ArtEvolution: Tom's character design gets a refresh and looks more youthful and smooth features.

* EpicFail: Kevin supposedly got a great deal on a car, to which Brittany brags she managed to get a deal that was several hundred dollars lower than his. When Kevin demands to see the paperwork, Brittany states she didn't ''actually'' buy the car. Jodie points out you'd have to be a complete moron to assume Mrs. Bennett would've actually wanted someone to buy a car for real for the project. Cue massive OhCrap from Kevin, and the following day in class he's a pathetic wreck over how much money he spent.

Cue massive OhCrap from Kevin, and the following day in class he's a pathetic wreck over how much money he spent. On top of it, Ms. Bennett ''literally'' indicates at the beginning of the class that they don't need to actually buy stuff, just go as far as they can through the process.

* {{Hypocrite}}: Daria accuses Jodie of being this when she got offended at one guy who initially turned down her proposal before realizing who her dad was, but at the second guy the first thing she did was mention her dad's name. Jodie takes massive offense at Daria calling her ethics into question, and Daria ends up feeling guilty about it until Helen manages to explain Jodie was simply being pragmatic. Daria later apologizes for having acted so pigheaded.
* WomenAreWiser: One of the few times where Brittany confirms she does have more IQ points than Kevin. Unlike him, Brittany didn't need it explained to her that she wasn't actually supposed to buy a car for the project. Not only that, even she's surprised to find out Kevin actually did it, as if even she didn't think he could be that stupid.

* WomenAreWiser: One of the few times where Brittany confirms she does have more IQ points than Kevin. Unlike At the beginning of her fight with Kevin, she tells him to stop patronizing her, and Kevin is clearly pretending to know what "patronize" means. And unlike him, Brittany paid attention to Ms. Bennett's lecture and didn't need it explained to her that she wasn't actually supposed to buy a car for the project. Not only that, even she's surprised to find out Kevin actually did it, as if even she didn't think he could be that stupid.

Added DiffLines:

* ConflictBall: Daria and Jane are still fighting over the issue of Jane spending more time with Tom, despite having solved it in the previous episode, while Brittany and Kevin get in a fight about which of the two is smarter. These two conflicts serve as an excuse to have Daria team up with Jodie and Jane with Brittany.

* FeudEpisode: Another one between Daria and Jane, with the same points of contention. Kevin and Brittany get in on the action too.

* BothSidesHaveAPoint: Helen gets Daria to understand that there's nothing wrong with having strong morals, just like there's nothing wrong with being a bit more pragmatic like Jodie did. At the very least it makes Daria realize she doesn't have to be so rigid when it comes to her friends.
