However any other acts of sabotage they may have committed made no appreciable difference to the battle whatsoever.

Already mentioned, and in the wrong order.

In the Spirit World, Aang meets up with Koh, trying to keep as emotionless as possible when talking to him so he doesn't steal his face. Koh says the Ocean and Moon Spirits are named Tui and La, known for always pushing and pulling in an endless dance. Aang puts it all together and realizes the spirits are the two koi fish from the pond when he meditated, and must find a way to return to the physical world before it's too late.

[[CueTheSun Dawn breaks]] on a battered but still standing Northern Water Tribe. Master Pakku announces that he and a few other Waterbenders are going to the South Pole to rebuild their sister tribe. Katara's glad to hear this, but is concerned about Aang, who still has to master waterbending. Pakku says that he'd better get used to calling her "master," then. Sokka shares a moment with Chief Arnook, who reveals that he once received a vision of his daughter becoming the moon, and knew that this day would come. And so, with heavy hearts but high hopes, Aang, Sokka, and Katata prepare for the next leg of their journey.

And Zhao is actually given an opportunity to avoid this fate by grabbing Zuko's hand, but Zhao refuses to be saved by someone he hates. So this is also a case of Too Prideful To Live.
