* In Wrath of the Spider Queen, Velma Green at one point says to Jeff "Well, look who's finally grown a thorax", which is very likely a play on asking people who've demonstrated courage if they've finally grown balls.
** Of course, it could have also been a euphemism for growing a spine/backbone, which would probably make more sense considering what portion of anatomy the thorax corresponds to, whilst simultaneously replacing "spine" with something that works better for describing an organism that has no bones.

* And of course, the leader of the Dinobonoids is called Professor Gaylord.
** Doesn't sound like much 'til you see the rainbow on his helmet.
*** He gets beat up quite a lot in this episode too... Then again he was kind of a jerk.
* "Ahoy, matey! Do you want to be a chocolate sailor?"

* When Billy is dancing to a song sung by a brain-shaped meteor he's seen dressed like a pimp.
** That's actually a zoot suit (which, of course, is what the pimp suit was based on), much like the ones worn by anthropomorphic wolves in 1940s cartoons (to show that they're playboys looking to get laid) and, of course, The Mask (from the comic book, movie, and cartoon of the same name).
