There needs to be an In Universe justification in order for an example to be justified; What makes these examples confusing though is the fact that they're set up in a really metafictional way that kind of throws me off; i'll discuss that more in the Discussion page.

FanDumb refuses to acknowledge this and often portrays their outside personalities as their true ones. ** Karen and Hiro are an OfficialCouple, but the FanDumb tend to {{ship|ping}} [[OneTruePairing Draco and Karen]] [[FanPreferredCouple together]] and they [[DieForOurShip hate Hiro because of it]].
