* GenreAdultery: On "Asleep from Day" (off ''Surrender''), Hope Sandoval from Music/MazzyStar sings, and the Chemical Brothers' backing music is much slower and more ambient than their usual fare. The result sounds more like a Mazzy Star song than a Chemical Brothers song.

From 1992 to 1995, Simons and Rowlands called themselves Music/TheDustBrothers, after the US production duo known for their work with Music/TheBeastieBoys. While it was chosen as homage to the latter, the original Dust Brothers threatened legal action over the name. From then on, Simons and Rowlands were known as The Chemical Brothers, starting with their debut album, ''Exit Planet Dust''.
