* SpellMyNameWithAnS: The song was originally titled "Don't Stop Believin'''g'''" when it was first released on the album ''Escape''. Subsequent releases of the song go by the more common form of "Don't Stop Believin'". Also, the album name itself is sometimes written '''[[{{Letters 2 Numbers}} E5C4P3]]''', since that's how it's written on the album cover.

* DoubleEntendre: Steve Perry's "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvCwyJj584M Can't Stop]]", which appeared on "For The Love of Strange Medicine", makes good (but subtle) use of this trope with lyrics like "You light my fuse" and "The feel of your ocean".

* MockingSingSong: The scatting at the end of "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'" does sound sing-songy, given that it happens at the end of the sung lyric, "Now it's your turn, girl, to cry."

* StylisticSuck: Depending on who you talk to, the awful "Separate Ways" video was this. Perry was notorious for hating the medium of music videos, even snarking that what the other bands were playing during their heyday was "fashion music." The band only did {{Performance Video}}s up until that point, but when forced to make an "actual" one, they made one so notoriously awful that, hopefully, they'd never be asked again.

* TheSvengali: Herbie Herbert, band manager. Dear God, the man claims all the credit for founding Journey, to the point where he was playing group members off each other in a continual power struggle to keep his "creative" vision. [[http://members.cox.net/mrcarty/ Interview here.]]
