I Fight Dragons is a {{Chiptune}} rock band from Chicago, formed in 2008. They are notable for combining chiptune music with their standard instruments, and for reprogramming old-school game controllers (like NES Game Pads, Power Pads, {{GameBoy}}s, and RockBand guitars, among others) and playing them as instruments during live shows. They were signed with Photo Finish/Creator/AtlanticRecords from 2010 to 2012, but currently work independently.

* CutSong: They recently released ''[=DEMOlition=]'' which consists of 12 demos that didn't make it onto ''KABOOM!''
* DevelopmentHell: On a vlog, Brian told an anecdote of how he made a demo track with Greg Wells that their label at the time loved, and a asked Brian to write a song to it. Each version he came up with was rejected by the label as "not being a hit," eventually going through over 18 versions and 7 co-writers over the next year and a half until all parties involved gave up on the track. Brian's last version, "It's Not Me, It's You" was a very blunt "screw you" to the label for making him rewrite the song so many times.
** The MusicVideo to "cRaZie$" experienced some of this, with the band being forced to change effects designers late in production.

* SlidingScaleOfIdealismVsCynicism: This band has gone all over the scale. They've gone from uber-idealistic power anthems ("The Geeks Will Inherit The Earth", "Save World Get Girl", "Time to Fly", etc.) to expressions of distrust and disillusionment with the world ("Money", "Pretend", "My Way", "Eighteen", etc.), but a lot of their tracks also take a central approach, exploring how the world can suck, but it's still worth it to keep powering on.
